Right now all I have are a pair of Bose IE2's. I like them a lot, a very nice upgrade from iphone ear buds.

How ever, I am in the market for a decent pair of OTE studio headphones. trying to decide between Audio-Technica ATH-M50's or AKG K271MKII's. Anyone gotten a chance to try out both? I listen to 95% edm (trance, house, techno) and 5% reggae/rap/rock/jazz. Someone want to help sway me to one side or the other? The AKG's are on sale on amazon for less then the M50's and retail for more, so I assume they are the "better" pair?

I recently stopped using IEM/Earbuds altogether, I've owned countless in ear headphones and they all bother me. I still own the Sennheiser IE7, but may never listen again!) So this is my current set up, I'm pretty happy with the price/quality ratio here. I love headphones!!

I read your review of the C5's, and ended up getting a pair. How are you liking them beyond your review?

I like them a lot. It takes getting used to the oddness of their loop design inside your ear. Other than that, they don't disappoint in sound.

I'm alternating between the Incase Sonic and the Bowers & Wilkins C5.

are the incase headphones actually good? I never thought of incase as an audio company. I loved C5's sound when i had them, but i've come to the conclusion that I hate in ear headphones!

Yes, surprisingly good actually. Very comfortable and well built. Incase had a 40% off code on Facebook not long ago which worked on all of their products.

For home I use my Grado SR60's.

For mobile I will use my new Sennhieser PX100's. I just have to say these may be the best portable headphones around.

I own every pair of Monster Beats except the top of the line ones, But I just ordered the sennheiser hd 598's. I bought those beats because I heard from fellow soldiers they were great, but since I have been a member on this forum and had my mac, everyone seems to lean towards the more professional Sen's. I do love deep bass, but prefer a clear sound over anything. So I will give them a try and re-post my own picture when they get here.

If anyone cares to PM me about the quality or has tested these for themselves compared to the Beats by Dre I would greatly appreciate it. I can't wait until they get here to try them myself. They look SOOOO much more comfortable and lighter.

my main headphones:
sennheiser_hd_203.png

Sennheiser HD203's. Great bass and super clear.

my old headphones:

Pioneer SE2's. Really old, but really clear sound. They have to be adapted down from a 1/4" plug

my portable headphones:
sony-mdr-ex10-in-ear-headphones-black.jpeg

Sony MDR-EX10's. I picked them up because they were cheap and I torture my portable buds. The sound is fairly decent, though.

These don't have good bass performance.

I own the HD555s myself. Have had them for about four years and they're still going strong. Quality sound and comfortable to wear, although they do leave big imprints in your hair

Anyway, my friend said he tried out the Beats and was very disappointed. He's a bit of an audiophile so I trust his opinion, but I'm afraid I don't have one of my own.

I decided I will try them from amazon and just use the cord that came with my Beats that is a normal 3.5mm. If I don't like them, I'll just return them no big deal. But I hope I do, they LOOK amazing so I expect the same from the sound and feel.
