Mine is for a Canon also, 40D. I'm really excited about it. :D

Awesome. And I find it great for low light pictures with still subjects, I take 1/10 second photos with no camera shake!

Roughly how did you pay for the filter? I want something to protect that giant element!

Someone was selling a TiVo HD on Amazon, new in the box, never opened for $150!!! I wasn't going to buy this soon but I saw that and snatched it up. I'm excited...now I can get a CableCard from Comcast and tell them to take their POS DVR/receiver back.

I couldn't tell you, I bought it as a package. There was a guy on potn selling it used, with the filter. Got that 25% live search cashback on it too, so a total of $320 shipped.

why did you guys get canon over nikon? i also think that nikon slr's have a better design

Preference. I have used Canons in the past, so I had the lenses already. I moved up from a RebelXT, and I didn't enjoy using the D80 Nikon I tried as much. Mostly familiarity and the desire not to have to repurchase a bunch of lenses.

New kicks on top of a new hoody, also put some fresh strings on my rouge, strat, and mini.

There very comfortable but would not be my first choice as they could deff. be stronger built shoes. I needed a new pair of kicks very quickly as i shredded my zoo yorks rinding the other day so i didnt have the time to wait on mail order. So my size 15 limits my choices locally. Long story short if you can afford it buy something better.

Yah I usually stick to circas, but i bought the KA's cuz I liked the look of them and they are super comfortable. I dont skate any more, but I put my shoes through hell and these are holding up well.

jaydub, that's a sweet piece of glass! Let me know how you like it, I've been wanting a UWA for some time now.

I also got camera goodies, I got a Sigma 50mm f1.4 and a Speedlite 430 EX II :D It makes my XTi look puny!

It's gonna be a good weekend :)

This is a great BR player IMHO. Of course my intention is once I settle in my new place to buy a receiver and surround sound to compliment it. Oh and a new TV since I somehow lost the other 42" HD LCD.

Dang, that's one of the lenses I want most. Not sure if the new Nikon version is better. It's certainly smaller.

Well try another 50 mm somewhere, somehow, and you'll realize how fracking large your lens is.

Personally, I've never complained about weight though. It's usually the size that bothers me more. I guess it's not bad if it's not too long.
