this weekend went shopping for cloths in the aprox amount of 150€, but my absolut last purchase was dinner:

On the topic of flash drives haha, got this 8GB Flash Drive for £9.99 from Amazon, good deal :cool:
Needed it cos my last one stopped working :(

just general seats. our season tickets were in the reds. unfortunately due to the condition of the building they could only sell the blues. the city dropped a major ball on that.
 
man am i a sucker. dont bash me but my HDMI skills werent up to par, untill now.

I just got a new xbox 360, with HDMI! and i decided after hearing such good reviews of HDMI over Componet cables i went out to get one, but was an idiot.
I ended up getting persuaded into buy a 24K Gold Ultra Series 4' HDMI cable from best buy...... for 130$ GOD DAMN DOLLARS. at the time it sounded like the best thing ever, untill now.
i felt just stupid, and wanted to prove to myself that i really am stupid, so i fired up amazon and bought their top rated HDMI cable, that cost 5.00$ toatal shipped, and just recived it. Plugged it into my xbox 360 an just as ii thought, couldnt tell the truth between the two cables. Turns out after doing some research on the interwebz that all HDMI cables put out the same picture/audio no matter how much gold/diamonds/chrome what ever they put on it.

just wanted to share my stupidity with you guys, and man o man do i have to return these goldass cables before my anger mixed with scissors get to them.

Just kidding, can someone refresh my memory about this long-standing joke? Axl promised everyone a Dr. Pepper when the CD came out or something? I can't remember?

Actually, someone from Dr. Pepper promised it!

Back in March, the beverage company said that it would give every man, woman, and a child in the U.S. a free can of Dr. Pepper should Guns N’ Roses release Chinese Democracy before the close of 2008. And now, the event no one — certainly not the folks at Dr Pepper — thought would happen is rapidly approaching.

Wrong. A better quality cable will give you a better quality picture/sound. However the range of observable differences in picture/sound is very low, so as soon as you start paying more than about $5 for a cable you're not going to see a difference. But this doesn't mean that a 99c cable made out of rusty bell wire will produce as good an image as the $5 one from Amazon.
 
Ordered since Oct but still have yet to receive it (it was a pre-order item apparently). Yet i can't cancel it because its the best deal for a 2.5" FW/USB drive with decent space i've found thus far...i might just cancel it and pick something else.

HDMI is digital, it's either 100% there, or 100% not. So if this 5 dollar cable works (like mine does) it'll work as good as a 120 dollar cable.

Simple.
 
Just got the Western Digital 320GB portable hard drive with firewire 400 for 99 bucks at Frys. Great deal. Normally 189 and sold out online, but we have a frys 20 minutes away.
