how is the voyager? worth the cash?

for the kind of phone user i am, i think it's great and worth every penny.

i'm constantly texting so the full physical qwerty keyboard is wonderful.

the web experience is OKAY. i only use it..maybe once a day to do a quick search if i'm away from home. decent speed.

i had heard that the touch screen wasn't very responsive but i love it and have not had any problems/lags.

the only thing that i'm not too happy about is the 2.0 MP camera. i came from the enV and since they're so similar i thought they'd go with 3.0. oh well. not too big of a deal.

When you get it, please post here on how you like it, my brother has it and he gave up the iPhone because of the BlackBerry e-mail feature. I really find it VERY difficult to use when I'm used to my iPhone.

Sure. What did your brother think to it? I have an iPod Touch so used to a few similarities.

The photo isn't mine. It comes courtesy of Flickr user kyryll, but I figured it looks better than any standard stock product shot. Volkl AC30 (163cm), should be here before the end of the week, but I'll have to wait until the new year to actually use them.

I want that phone so bad the only problem is I can't justify paying another 25 bucks a month for sprint data when the device has built in wifi and every where i go (home school have wifi). AHH I need to find some type of loop hole with sprint any one know any? But i just held it at the sprint store the other day and it is amazing how small it really is

I've had the Voyager for about 8 months. Doesn't do as much as the PPC6700 I had for 2.5 yrs, but it excels in other areas and it's a likeable phone. My $0.02.

Some have complained about the touch screen response (mentioned above), but like the above poster I haven't really had any difficulties. The screen is better than my PPC was, for sure. I tried mobilTV for a couple months too. I really like it, but in the end couldn't justify an extra $15/month. If I was single it might be a different story...:). Oh, and yes if you text a lot this phone is the shiz. Facebook mobile works perfectly too.

well considering i don't pay my bill (family plan, parents pay) i don't have like mobile tv/paid internet or anything, but i doooo have a good texting plan. i would probably use the keyboard/inside screen more than the outside touch screen anyways.

my current phone, LG VX8600 has crapped out on me about five times (i lost track) and i am SICK of it. my dad said my next phone is going to be a basic phone, but i'm paying for the phone so i'll disregard what he said.

These are not at all stealthy, as soon as someone spots you taking money out of it they wanna know all about them, but they are great. I also have the newspaper one, although that has seen better days. :p

I have an LG Viewty and I have loads of trouble with that too! I wouldn't recommend them.

ah! i didn't even think about it, the Voyager isss an LG product. however, besides for what you have said and my experience with my phone, i have nothing against LG at all. i think my fridge and some other kitchen appliances are LG, and they are great.

my dad blames all my phone's problems as me manipulating the phone somehow, he doesn't get that i am sick of going to the Verizon Store so why the hell would i try to send myself back to that evil place? besides, every time i go i have to pay the fines or the charges for a new charger that keep breaking on me.

oh the joyyyy.

Reading is fundamental

Actually finished "Let the Right One In" last week. I would recommend the movie over the book. It's good, but a lot more disturbing than the movie. Now on to Proust.

You're in Toronto...... go to Mountain Equipment Co-op. They have awesome backpacks and the prices are amazing. You just need to buy a $5 membership (at least it was $5 when I joined) if you've never shopped there before. I miss that store.....

I didn't know MEC carried any North Face stuff, however. I love that place as well. It's where I got my Timbuk2. I just wish they carried more than just their in-store brands. Their selection of other branded stuff is a bit limited. I do like that the MEC-branded stuff is very affordable, however.
