can you type as fast as on the pearl? I hated the pearl kb but learned to live with it. I am no pretty close to the speed of a stnd bb but it took many months

I think i'm a little slower only because i'm not used to it yet. If you asked me about a week ago a loved my pearl. I never used a standard BB keyboard so this was new to me at the time and i was slow.
My emails that i send aren't long, Mostly a few words, 3/4 sentences at the most and the ones i sent today didn't have too many errors. I'm trying to type slow and gradually building my pace up. The way i use the surepress screen is i don't put my finger on the screen and see if lights up then click. I just click making it like a real button and seems to work for me.
It will definitely take some time to get used to. I would try it out. Go to verizon and find out. Ask them to do a battery pull and leave it out for a few seconds so it resets. With everyone playing on it, it slows down the OS making in very annoying. You do have 30 days.

I can't believe how much this photo is being used as a stock image for the camera, its sooo funny. If you list an auction on Ebay for a 5d II this is the stock image used :)

I'll have real pics when it's in my hands, it's sold out everywhere so I had to jump on a waiting list at Adorama

Yeah your right and andrewdale is wrong, its in no way an SLR it has no mirror so it cant be a single lens reflex camera, a range finder just has a shutter to cover the film between the lens an slr has a shutter and mirror so when you look through the view finder you see out the lens, with a Leica or other rangefinder you simply look out a separate viewfinder in no way configured to your lens choice.

Yeah, sorry about that. It is, however, "you're", not "your". Of course, I'm not going to go off on grammar. It is a rangefinder and not an SLR. Rangefinders, as far as I'm concerned, have the coolest focusing system ever.

Ah cool, I'm currently applying to universities too. Good luck, train tickets cost so much, even with a young person's railcard....

You are right. The Government pays for my travel to and from University each day (it's about 40 miles each way) but because the train is £16 return, they pay for my car journeys which are much more economical even when you include parking.
