Since I was able to save $320 off the current price of the Sony A7RIII through B&H "EDU Advantage", I returned the Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS Lens, and got the 24-70mm f/2.8 G Master instead... which was $220 off through "EDU Advantage".

Even if I saved $540... it still doesn't feel like saved any money... lol.

Cordless Makita DTM51ZJX7 Multitool with Makpac case and attachments. Proving to be a very useful tool...

A couple yards of this to hang in a doorway upstairs... a compromise with the two kittycats who want that door left open so they can sit in the windowsills on sunny mornings, and moi, who wants the hallway upstairs (which is not heated) to have somewhat less of a not exactly tropical breeze during our subzero winter nights. This Alexander Henry fabric gets the job done in style.

Couldn't resist (really low price) getting a 1st get Pixel. First and foremost, I bought it for the color ;). I've also wanted to test (Google's) Project Fi's mobile service. I might finally drop AT&T after more than a decade.

Anker is a good brand. I have a few of there USB hubs etc.

I asked the company who sold me the Astell & Kern device to recommend a charger - the device itself (despite costing a pretty penny) came with no charger (they used to have a charger), apart from a cable - and yes, it can charge from a computer, but I'd rather it had its own charger - and they contacted Astell & Kern who recommended a specific Anker product.

Anker were prompt and professional and a pleasure to deal with.

Having bought one, as I travel so much, it seemed prudent to invest in a second, so I ordered a second charger.

No charger provided? Wow. £3000 doesn't get you what it used to!

No. Indeed, it doesn't.

I read a review that had mentioned this, and queried it when I phoned about to place an order, and made it clear that I wished to be advised on what to purchase as a charger - a good one - before any order was actually placed, and yes, expressed my surprise at what was not included in the box; needless to say, the young man to whom I spoke put on his skates, and made a number of phone calls and reverted to me fairly promptly.

Astell & Kern themselves recommended Anker, and use it when doing demos with some of the mp3 devices.

It's down to logistics. If they provide a UK, a Euro or a US charger they have to get different packages made. If they are all the same it makes the process easier.

Well, as you have so rightly pointed out, given the price of the product, and the market it is aimed at, I am somewhat surprised that chargers are not included; the box was pretty and wooden, the case gorgeous Italian leather - but I think it would not have been a stretch too far to include a comprehensive charger collection.

Indeed, I remember the halcyon days when such things used to appear in the box with Apple products.....

Apple have a two part plug design going on which means they just switch out the three pin or two pin part.

But I guess the wooden box wouldn't have space to accommodate such things.

Enjoy. Mrs AFB asked me to get one of my images printed out. Must get round to it.
Do it! Your images will look much better hung on a wall than they do hidden on your hard drive.

I started printing some of my favourite images last year when I realised
  1. It is now quite affordable to print big
  2. The 16MP images my cameras produce look great printed at 20x30” if scaled appropriately in Lightroom
Once all my walls are filled i’ll start cycling images through the frames for variety. (That could take a while, I worked out yesterday that I could fit at least 10 of these on my stairway walls!)

Do you print yourself?
