I tried to install the famous screen saver on my new MacBook Pro today and it didn't work on the 10.6. Shame, shame.

Alternative is WordClock. It is almost cooler than the old one.

I just want to see it because I have a MP and more space is always key.

Yeah, im not callin him one eaither, im just saying "pics or gtfo" nicely, because we all know Mac Pro Demon brags and boasts about his like $10k setup but has yet to deliver pics.

We all keep asking and UltraNEO* doesn't respond. I'm doubting the additional drives.

Don't worry Jessica, next time I'm inside my machine I'll take photos to enlighten your heart and satisfy your curiosity; might even entitle the thread after you However, if you don't mind, it'll be at the end of this project. Here's a photo of where I've installed a 250Gb temp drive... I guess most users would stick their fingers here..

Maybe he can't afford the downtime? If he's in the rendering business, I don't imagine there's a lot of opportunities to open up the case for a photo op.

Your right there mate, downtime ain't cheap! Particularly when projects are on a tight schedule. Most of the time I use my MBP for surfing.

Umm.. You'll probably need a TV with a DisplayPort and to connect them together, a miniDisplayPort to DisplayPort adaptor. Not even sure do they make TV's with DisplayPorts, has technology gone that far yet?

In the 2nd picture ? Yes. They are the WD Office ones. 1TB each.

I did, the drives weren't in any of the sets...though to be fair, I do know those drive kits exist and its possible. I just wanted to check it out.

Well... Your gonna be slightly disappointed here Since my machine doesn't move, just sit on the floor, usually under the table out of harms way; I don't use them. Instead I'll just make uses of what space there is in the machine and start 'shelving' drives inside.

The bottom drives are actually sitting on very thin black fibreglass PCB (all copper been etched off), it's just there to prevent conductivity to the chassis. All in all, it does get a little warmer, typically about 45~52°C (unloaded/loaded).

Seriously, Apple should consider making a LARGER TOWER

Yep, System Pref > Desktop & Screen Saver > Screen Saver > WorldClock Options

Its flashed based and albeit a bit laggy (flash and osx never work ) it works quite nicely... you can change like every aspect of it if need be

It's the newest design, where the laptop body is started with a single block of aluminum and carved out.

Yep, all the new models since the past three revolutions are and have been unibody. And no problem, thats what forums are for

HDMI can do 1920x1200 (i.e. enough for 1080p), so no problems pushing to any TV you want. HDMI 1.3 can actually do more than that (I think enough for a 30" monitor), but I doubt the mDP->HDMI adapters can do that.

SAAAWEEET! I really dig your cable management setup in the AFTER photos. Makes me want to dig out my drill and do something similar with my current home office desk.

Yeah, I am pretty happy with it. Everything was made for this computer as the desk was custom built.
