The stripping is from Home Depot,

The stripping is ugly unless that is your only option. While I could drill some nice ass holes in my apartment walls, something tells me that moving out and fixing said holes would be more work than what it is worth. On the other hand, wall-mounting a TV in an apartment knowing I'll move in less than a year is also wildly stupid. ;)

Think i need a bigger desk now. :)

Do you like your current 20 inch ACD? I know a store that has an open box for $300, but I am not sure if it is a worthwhile purchase considering how many new (and larger) monitors can be had for the same price or less.

I am very happy with it (other than needing the webcam and isight now). I saw an open box one for $370 at Best Buy recently and wish that I bought it.

I guess it all depends on what you want. If you are looking for a solid, stylish monitor with a well built panel then this would be perfect. However you could probably get two or three larger, cheaper monitors for the same price. I will say though that I bought that ACD in 2005 had it through the last 2 years of college and has been with me since being used regularly without any problems. Coming up on 5 years for any electronic and good in my book (plus I hope it will last for several more years).

That being said I have 3 24" mid-range Dell monitors at work that were under $1000 total delivered. The difference being that I couldn't justify 3 24" (or 23") cinema displays when I could get the something that would serve the same purpose for the business for a third the cost.

True, it being my only viable option is the reason I used it too. If the walls are white (meaning you don't have to match a color) repairing a hole from mounting a TV and running the cable isn't too bad. In college I always had to repair holes from TVs and I think it was worth it.

In my opinion 300$ is too much for a 20" one.
They wanted $350 for it a week ago. I asked them if they could go any lower and they refused. I came back to that store to pick something up for my girlfriend and decided to see if it was still around it. Indeed it was, and $50 cheaper.

This is my desktop during my PC era. I just did the entire room and added the LCD TV on the wall. You can see the PS3 and the big tower pc at the bottom.

This is my desktop during my MAC era. Its slightly redone and much neater and simplistic. Completely redone the speakers department. Bought an Aego M speakers with USB DAC (GoVibe) attached to the Mac Mini for sound output. I still need to work out on my wirings a little bit.

That is a very cosy workspace! so nice and warm! i like the mug warmer, really adds style to your room!

I have both and prefer the MX 1100. The only reason is because my thumb feels better on the MX 1100, maybe I just have a big thumb.

Just curious, I've saw this MX Perfomance few days ago;
I've the MX1100 and I'm satisfied, it's a nice and confortable mouse, but I was thinking to change keyboard with a DiNovo Mac and I need only one receiver for save usb ports, I don't think the MX1100 is compatible with the unifying logitech receiver so...

U talking about my mouse?I don't know the names of half the stuff connected to my computer. All I know is that everything works great.Oh,and I make do with my setup.I want a L desk soon.

Oh sorry I've wrong name, I meant penningtonj ;)

cable management?

I'm just wondering how anyone who mounts speakers, moniters, or anything on the wall takes care of wires, or for that matter even keeps them under control on your desk? I'm setting up my new desk soon and I'm just looking for a few ideas thanks :)

I've got my 23.6" Asus monitor mounted on the wall. I just decided to drill right through the wall for the wires. It gives it such a clean look.

As for cleaning up the wires that are on the ground, check out:
