Mine is a bit messy right now - Samsung T240 finally passed away last night after a long 'yellowing/backlight' illness :(

anyhoos am on the dell 17" old-school 4:3 for now and am preparing to battle Samsung for a warranty replacement.....

here is a piccy from my Nokia (old but still seems to handle indoor photo's much better than any of the iPhones I've had...)

What a waste to be using a magic mouse on that!

When I had the magic mouse on my steel series 4L, it was so rough and frictiony compared to my vx revo!

Yeah, you're probably right, but from my perspective, this pad is so much better than the hard plastic lenticular mousepad I was using before, and the Magic Mouse is insanely better than the old Microsoft one I had for my PC that I replaced with this iMac and Magic Mouse....:p Is there something wrong with the Magic Mouse that I'm missing, lol? Cause I think it's awesome!

Haha yeah that is good you did those upgrades.

Not a big fan of the magic mouse - because I have had better for less. A mouse pad like that might get ground up to death because the friction produced from the magic mouse is really bad. Use like a mx performance or vx revo, it feels like the mouse is gliding on an air hockey table...which is what the mousepad is meant to do since it is a gaming pad.

This is where I work. I have the i5 iMac controlling the 24 LED. The power from the LED always keeps my 17 MBP charged and the iPad goes straight into the iMac USB and the iPhones are charging through the LED USBs as well where they sit. It is a great clean set up for me and I truly do enjoy sitting down and getting things done here. Very lucky

REALLY nice set up
!

Do you take your 17" away from your desk often?

What case is that you have for your iPad?

Why? Iv'e got the same pad and it's one of the best you can get. The Magic Mouse itself sucks. It's pads are not made for smooth gliding.

I like scrolling with the smooth top of the magic mouse, but I can agree that the mouse itself is terrible.

Please excuse the lousy picture, I suck at taking photos. And no, the screen isn't yellow. It's just some weird effect caused by the camera.

Cool, I had no idea there was such an art to mouse/mouse pad pairing! Probably because I haven't gamed since Jedi Knight II, lol! Once the novelty of the Magic Mouse wears off, I will definitely take up your recommendations guys!

I'll never drop the dough on a gamer-grade mousepad, but I think gaming mice are well worth the price. Apple mice, on the other hand, I just can't stand. The whole one-integrated-button thing really pisses me off. You have to lift your primary-click finger in order to secondary-click. And the shape of them is not ergonomic at all. I think Apple expects you to hold it with just the tips of your thumb and ring finger. Kind of like an iPhone 4.

That's exactly how I hold my Magic Mouse! I love it, but again, I have no basis for comparison. Sort of like how everyone told me Force Unleashed was a terrible game- I never had a PS2 or the 1st XBOX, so my first real 'next-gen' gaming experience was Force Unleashed on my buddy's borrowed 360, and it blew my mind! What do I know, though, lol!

Yep!

When I had my magic mouse and my steelseries 4L it was really grating. I think if you want to keep the magic mouse - try some mouse feet. It will feel like an air hockey table compared to the magic mouse to mousepad you got going right now! Effortless!

@DofoT9 - same - but it does not feel ergonomic to me! It's something about how you have to grip the sides. I am about to get my imac, and man I am getting the magic mouse back after I sold mine off!
