I had one of the first Aluminum MacBook's I bought as a refurb last year from Apple's online store and it was a great computer, but after a fall on a tile floor and just moving around alot it started looking kinda beat up. At that point I was kinda tired of Mac and I wanted a Windows 7 laptop to play some games and things like that, so I sold it to a good friend who wanted a Mac but didn't want to buy a new one. However I soon realized I needed at least one Mac system because I just love the OS in general, so when I was browsing eBay I knew that a iMac G4 was the system I wanted to buy. Not wanting to settle for a 15", the second my 17" came online I offered a price of $100 and the seller took it. When I got it in the mail it was more beat up than the pictures showed (the screen had a mark I saw in pics, but there were more than one and the base was pretty dirty). I gave the seller a Neutral feedback rating and he sent me a message back offering to take the computer back for a refund, but I had already fallen in love so I decided to keep it and clean it up really good. I'm going to replace the keyboard because it's pretty yellowed, and I think the marks on the screen can come off with some elbow grease.

The seller did say if I kept the computer he would take some off the price, but he's sending me a 512MB SO-DIMM instead which should help out the performance because right now it can barely browse the net with the amount of installed RAM.

People like you need to contact the seller first before leaving negative feedback. Nothing a little communication can't fix. It makes it easier for both parties involved.

that i know but its itunes encoded by me video so its a little different if i use it at all for the video part plus its just for tinkering around with

You do know that it can barely handle YouTube, if it can even handle it at all...

If you install MacTubes and select the option to view the video in QuickTime vs. Flash, it does great. Found that out the hard way with mine. The G4 can still handle basic tasks and even some more intensive ones as long as you have the patience.

the one i am getting is a 700 mhz model but the ram has been upgraded to 768 according to the guy but it does have the 40 gig hd i am thinking of putting in my spare 120 gig western digital drive

My previous setup was the same without the computer desk. I decided to buy it because i just couldn't began to learn in front of my macbook.:D And i also get irritated when something is not in order. The best thing is that it was just $20.

Sorry for the bad picture quality, i used my Nokia E75  (BTW tried to 'shop out the noise)

Here is my past setup. It was a G5 iMac, but not my first mac. The kitty is Socrates, and that was his favorite spot while I was on the computer.

My present setup is a 17" MBP. I'm so attached to this laptop, but I may upgrade with the next refresh. The monitor is a Dell 24" Ultrasharp. Speakers are Harmon Kardon Soundsticks. Off to the side is my printer, Wacom tablet, and midi keyboard. You can't really tell in the photo, but I have Ikea dioders behind the monitor and under the mStand. The desk is also Ikea. :)
