Nice setups :)

I have a Mac and a few iDevices and a couple of Windows laptops in my current setup; is this considered a Windows or Mac setup?

Well heres an update on my room, its soon to be stripped and gutted as I'm decorating it XD opting for a 1970s retro space age theme. With the key colour being 1970s Olive Green and Diamond white :D

So far it consists of my desk area

This is where all of my University work mainly gets done. I use my PM G4 Quicksilver for writing my essays just because it has the nicely sized 17'' Apple Studio Display, its not too big and its not too small. Next to that is my first gen 32gB iPad Wifi used for taking notes during lectures My background is an Audi UR Quattro, this is my dream car and I someday want to own one, thats my ambition anyways:) . This is followed by my Black 32GB iPhone 4S I love this thing and it goes all over with me lol. Next to this is my 13'' Unibody MacBook Pro my main work horse for editing and storing video files.

A side shot of my desk area and hiding in one of the shelves is my old 2001 iBook G3, this is currently running OS X Tiger and mainly just chills.

This is the pride and joy of my entire room LOL a 1978 Toshiba SM3750 Music Centre, which at the time of launch was Toshiba's flagship model as stated in the Toshiba handbook and manuals I got with it. I paid an amazing £6.50 for it off ebay and it was used only a handful of times by the last owner, before being put into storage, because his wife believed it was too large for their small cottage living room. In todays money this thing would have cost almost four grand :O

My expanding LP collection :D I have several Bob Dylands, and ELO's also the other day I got given a tone of old really LP's from a mate who was clearing out his neighbours garage. The collection has tones of Big Bands classics like Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller. The Oldest in the collection is an LP from 1948 and plays extremely well with very little crackle. I also got about 100 or so 45 singles all for the price of free. I love Vinyl its just so awesome and the sound is far superior to digital, I haven't used my iTunes in ages for playing music, just for syncing my iOS devices XD

I put my eMac on top of my shelves for the mean time and it sometimes just runs a photo screensaver and as such have made it a form of video art :L

Hope you Enjoy

Mine's not nearly as fancy.

Desk is 13 years old, was a $50 floor model from Staples. The shelf is a custom piece from The Container Store. Poles cut to length to match the height of my desk.

Bottom is for my Mac Pro, and amps (only one in the picture). Middle shelf is for hard drives and various audio equip, and top is obviously keyboards/MIDI controllers.

Speakers are Logitech Z-5500 (my favorite speakers EVER).

That metal stand you have your keyboards on has me thinking....Where did you get it?

From a local chain here in the States called The Container Store. Similar to Ikea.

The shelves are powder-coated metal. They're adjustable. Basically this, but the poles are cut to my specific lengths. You can buy the pieces separately (which is what I did) since I didn't need a giant, tall, 5 shelf unit.

I went with these because I love the simplicity of these shelves, and it allows my components to dissipate heat better.

I have a large Roland that would fit on one of those....I'll have a look at ikea and see....Bound to do something similar!

Yup yup. I've had a big 32 channel Mackie Digital mixer on top and it was plenty sturdy. But mostly I use it for keyboards. The one issue is that since the bottom rack isn't "solid" it can be hard for pedals.

The Roland portable is 16 track (64 using virtual tracking) and includes a burner which I thinkI've used once, as I do my final mix downs on my iMac...And it's tiny......How technology moves on....My only criticism of the board is the menu system takes a while to get used to....It's like the "Jog" stuff you get on Hi-fi units.

Once you've got to grips with where stuff is though, it's a good bit of kit...ANd of course I can take it to people....The board, two Rode mics. stands and my MBP....Instant recording studio on the go!

@Aquadock, do you know the your model of your monitor?

HP do love to rip-off apple's designs, but I can't afford a cinema display and it would look good with a unibody!

How is it as a monitor too btw?

I'm in the market for a proper mousepad, and I'm open to suggestions for cable management solutions, as I seem to have cables all over the place.

Edit: Having trouble with images right now
I'm not sure if you can put flickr images directly in a post- I've seen others have trouble with it too.

I always have problems getting images up also...
May I make a suggestion? Get an attractive to throw all your crap (keys, sticky notes, etc.) in. This will make it much cleaner.
What's an attractive?

Yeah, I'd like to do that but I just never get around to it
Not too worried about it since I'm moving soon.
