Updated my setup with a 20" iMac which is a photo server and also general use machine in the room.

The setup is as follows.

3x 20" Dell Monitors connected to Windows 7 Ultimate Gaming PC.

1x Samsung Monitor connected to 2 machines via KVM. (1 Windows 2008 Media storage with 10TB of storage. 1 Citrix XenServer with 1TB of storage for VMs).

1x 20" iMac 2.4 GHz with 4GB RAM & 1TB of Photo Storage.

1x Wall Monitor connected to Core2Duo machine running XBMC.

Not in picture:
1x MacBook (about to be replaced with one of the new MacBook Pro's).

1x iPad 16GB WiFi.

What do you use the 3 monitor setup for, just gaming? and how do you find using your 3 monitors the way you have it ?

Also what resolution are you running on that PC with the monitors

It is at a resolution of 3150x1680.

I did originally have it going long ways. However I found that I never really looked at the two side screens. Going this direction means that it gives me a nice big viewing area when I am playing games.

And the second, and just as important reason for that configuration is that I do a fair bit of Photography work on the side of my main job. And having that massive resolution option means I can see a large area of a photo showing at one point.

Desk Area update

Here's how my desk area is looking into summer '12. Been hyped over WWDC :D

You can just spot my growing Vinyl LP & 8-track cartridge collection near my chair. I managed to find an 8-track player for £32 on ebay :D. I'm really digging these old audio formats, sound quality aint too bad either to be honest I was expecting far worse.

Loving your setup, macnerd93. I especially love your "Music Centre Area". :)

I've been wanting to invest into Vinyl, as I believe it is perhaps one of the best ways to listen to music. I also did read that small statement you had posted along with your picture on Flickr, and I totally agree with you. :)

I must ask though, other than the fact the turntable is a vintage Toshiba, what speakers do you use?

thanks for reply and I use modern day Panasonic speakers (the old one disintegrated due to age), but to keep with the nostalgia I fitted them inside the old matching Toshiba carcasses and they are on top of my shelving unit you can just about see one in the photo showing the full shot of the desk & shelves :)

Ah I see. Very nice! That's the only flaw with aged items, but at least we can keep them alive one way or another! Very awesome! :)

Well I have to sorta agree & disagree. I have quite a lot of vintage objects scatered around my room see my flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/macmad/sets/72157604831768243/ all of them work perfectly fine, but from past experience ( I love old audio equipment) older speakers are not the best sound to be honest (in this area at least) speaker technology has come along way since 1978. In terms of smaller size and power output especially. The Panasonic's are about 3 quarter the diameter of the originals have and have double the wattage if I remember :)

Another prized possession has to be my 1969 Sony Flip clock 43 years old and still keeping excellent time to this day, radio works better than my modern sony digital too lol.

its a G5 notice that it has a single optical drive bay the Mac Pro has two. Unless its a hackintosh rig in a G5 case, possible :)
Nice, they look so alike though to be honest. Getting my G5 Friday; I'll post a photo of my updated set-up Friday. Cheers!
