This is my first post in this forum. I bought my first mac, a 2013 MBA 13", earlier this year and absolutely love it. I added a 27" monitor to my office for when I'm home.

Thinking about replacing it with a mac mini and using my iPad for working on the go, but no news of the new mac minis yet.

Just curious as to what Mac App you're using?

My first post in a while!!

Recently bought my first Mac - 13" rMBP. Very glad I made the choice to switch over from Windows. Although I still use one of the 2 Windows PCs I own for a few things, I'm using my Mac for basically everything else.

My setup is quite simple as I moved my custom built Windows PC out of my room a couple of months ago (sorry don't seem to have any pictures of it).

Here is my latest setup though with before and after pictures of the rearrangements I made 2 days ago.

Before:

After:

PS. this is slightly off-topic but could someone tell me how to update/ show a signature at the bottom of my posts, I can't seem to find how to do this.

Thanks!!

Been toying with the idea of getting that ASUS 27" or the 23" with the same design. Is the pixel density on the 27" an eye-sore at 1080 compared to any Retina devices you may own or even your 2560x1440 iMac/TB Displays? I know there's a tradeoff for the cost, but would hate to order one and not be wowed.

Sorry for the delayed response.

For a 1080 screen it's one of the better I've seen. That said, it is a 1080 screen. I don't use it on a Retina machine, I use it for a Windows laptop that runs at 3200x1800, And yes, the drop to 1080 is noticeable but nowhere near as painful as some others I've seen.

Needless to say once your eyes are accustomed to that pixel density, and even my TB monitors - nothing else is really quite the same. But it's one of the best I've seen at it's price point.

The stand is the one that came with the Astro A50's. Hoping to find a similar one for my Bose headphones.

Thanks haha, decided to get all the skins matching. Have the same for Macbook, Xbox 360, Apple Remote and my HTC One.

Appreciate the first hand insight. Thanks. Part of me wants to hold off until Apple plays it's hand on it's next Thunderbolt Display, but the cost of the ASUS makes it a very attractive option for what looks to be solid design quality.

Nice setup, I'm partial to this type of sparse look and find it relaxing, although am never able to maintain it myself.

I believe so. I've had it for at least 5 years so I can't quite remember.

Thank-you. It seems as though you are using it without the pullout panel? Is that the case or am I just not looking hard enough? i want to buy one of these desks and not use the pull out panel but I didn't know if you have to have it attached or not for stability purposes etc.

Thanks

Do you mean the drawers that go underneath it? If so, I have them off to the side to use as my printer stand. If there is another panel, I am not aware of it. I bought it new and this is all that it came with. It may not be the MALM after all. :)

Nothing to do with the thread, but I had to comment - another NI forum member - Hi! :)

Alright mate? Whats the craic? :D

Hmm maybe not a malm after all... The Malm either had drawers as part of the desk or a pull out panel. Thanks anyway!

Sorry about the quality, but here's my new(ish) setup. Includes iPad Air and red Eames-style chair.

My setup

I thought that I would update my setup after adding an iPad to the family. I admit that nearly everything is recycled but is functional in my photo studio.
