LOL, its not for the trackpad its for to cushion my writs. Although it looks silly. I will be looking for a desk mat instead.Does the magic trackpad really need a mouse mat?

I also purchased a 40" TV on black friday that I will be mounting above all this, still haven't really chosen a final location for that or a mount. As far as the desk, I've been contemplating creating my own desk, not sure I have a design in mind, but thinking about creating a HUGE "U" desk. As far as the computers, If USB-C iMacs come out in the first half, I will definitely be replacing the iMac (not that this one is slow by any means, but really looking forward to USB-c) if not, new MBP 15

Makes sense, I have a 100cm long extended mouse mat which perfectly fits my mouse, keyboard and my phone on it with room to spare.

This is my setup this week: Decided I had too much stuff to do similar things and the iMac was going largely unused as was the refurb rMBP (returned it to resellers for money back) so I needed something light and portable that I can just hook up to an external display when needed and can cope with run of the mill tasks (generally browsing, watching youtube videos, researching and typing papers) This should hopefully serve me well!

It's an Ikea built. Two Alex drawers & Linnmon table tops. One for on the drawers & one for behind my monitors. It also has the Alex drawers on the table top. The black part underneath my desk is custom built and they hide all my cables, routers, etc.
My home office desk.
Added some cheapo LED light strips from Aliexpress for a few dollars. Gives it a nice touch at night.

It took six years but I finally got my old desk back. New apartment means new setup and my wife OK'd it! She said I get a corner but she gets the rest of the house.
