There's some nice clean looking setups in here. I'm going to be using my MacBook as my main desktop as well soon. I'll post a picture whenever I get all that fixed, I just did some cable management to get everything cleaned up behind my desk.

Make sure you have a good look at the finish. I didn't like the fact that it was just a paper covering. I'd had desks like that before, and after awhile with all the little bumps and scratches that are bound to happen, the paper may flake off. I went with the jonas with a veneer finish, and it feels much more resilient.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely check them both out when I'm at Ikea next time.

Catching up on the Colbert Report....

Still miss the portability of my PB (RIP). The redesigned MBP will be mine.

Had to remove the 2GB that shipped with it because it wasnt playing nice at all with my OWC 8GB. Apps would freeze and refuse to force quit. Big pain in the ass, but it's working beautifully with just the 8GB in there now. Anyone know why that would be? Seems odd.

Nice. What is the signed flag from?

And you're in Canada's capital? You're in Toronto? :p

Ottawa is a wonderful city, I was up there a few years ago and it was 40 below the entire week. Thank goodness you guys have poutines!

Anyways there is the current setup, soon the iMac will be in my office :), I have an airport extreme under the desk(cough table) and my logitech Z-5450s are all wall mounted. :)

I have the same speakers on my desk that you have on yours.

Hmm, I have something in common with a Pens fan. As a bitter Flyers fan, I might need new speakers. :p

Season is over rivalries are off for now :)

Just get new speakers in October. (They are pretty awesome for a small 2.1 system too)

I've had these speakers for a while and they really do sound nice. I didn't want to deal with cords running everywhere, so I've stuck with them instead of the 5.1 sets.

And yes, the season is over, but my Flyers will do something stupid shortly. They'll bring back Cechmanek or something. :)

I'm glad the Pens have gotten good again, I have so many friends that are from the area and they've suffered for a while.

Hey there, fellow Canuck! Nice set-up. I like your desk - where'd you get it?

Got it from ikea. Its a "VIKA" system table. Some glass top and 4 legs.
Legs: http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/84609085
Glass top:http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/90024718
The top also comes in a bigger size.

Nice. What is the signed flag from?

Here is my modest setup from the family room. The speakers look and are a little old, but those Altec Lansing speakers are awesome. I threw my MacBook Pro in the second picture, that will be getting it's own setup pictures soon once I get a new desk.

Do you have any other pictures of your setup? I like what I see. It looks awesome. I like the top of the desk and the lighting behind the monitor.

Why, thank you. It's a new setup so the only pictures I've really got are this one and the first shot of the setup:

But that was before I had everything back on the desk from before (the bamboo and such).

I'll definitely have a lot more pictures of it to come!
