What about it do you find confusing? Other than some of the stuff deep in the menus, I don't think it's too bad.

As far as the software, X-Edit is available online to download (thats for editing the presets on the computer as well as storing and downloading new presets.) The included recording software for macs I find greatly inferior to Garageband. It's very had to use and I don't think it has midi sequencing. For a device aimed at home users, included recording software should at least have those two characteristics. The included software for PCs wasn't bad when I used to use a PC, but that doesn't do me too much good now :D The Lexicon reverb plug in is great though, and I don't know if that is online or not, however I would guess not...

well im having a hard time creating loops on it so i can play back to them.
also i can find a distrotion im very happy with.

i'll have to check out x-edit. it's sound pretty nice!:D

Why is that?
Because of this;

...it is embarrassing for a web design company not to have the best code possible.
I know that the errors are nothing major & won't cause any rendering issues, but I'm still under the impression that a web design professional should produce 'professional' code (that is, conforming to the standards it is written in). If I was paying for a web design service I would certainly be unhappy if the delivered product failed to validate.

Secondly, it really doesn't matter.
That's just the sort of attitude that has helped the web become the mess of standards noncompliant rubbish that it is. I would've thought that anybody who owned a web design company would understand the importance of conforming standards.

@smogsy

how is the N1 Vision router? Is it worth the $180? Thinking about getting a newer router for my parents house.

well i had the netgear 270mps n router it was great but got bit of bored of it so bought the belkin N1 Vision as u see its recetion is great even 400 Foot away in my garden i can get good signal (and it has to travel past my sky signal)

so far no disconnections on my 24mb connection its great router with great security and options to edit your security,

only downsides to the router is
If your less than 2 foot away from router signal dies. but my netgear also had this problem but at less than 4 foot.

And i wish it had a remote to change the screen.

oh and at night its very bright when trying to sleep :(

the lcd features are so handy. for example it tells u who been on your network in last 24 hours i found a 2 unknown Devices and they worked out to be the ps3,wii i forgot to turn them off lol. anyway i renamed them now :)

i would recommend it

Havent changed it lately:

Thinking about selling a monitor and the tower though since I want to go traveling for a while and won't be using them.

As far as replacing your newspaper, it does an adequate job, but the screen size is meant for book reading. It also has a built-in web browser, so you can use google reader or bloglines for rss feeds. I've currently got an M-Edge brown leather cover on it, because though the cover that comes with the Kindle is alright, this is much improved. Attached are a couple of close-ups. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm still wavering, but it looks very tempting.

Just your basic office setup. Desk from Target and picture frame bought by my wife. Notice the his and her scissors in the cup, she is left handed and I am right handed so hence the pair.:)

It never ceases to amaze me how ugly the aluminium iMac Core 2 Duo is. Every time I see a setup including one I try to imagine what it would be like with the more beautiful white plastic one or the even nicer looking G4.

I wonder who it was at Apple that decided this new design was better? :(

Yeah, you're in the minority of people who think the new design is a step backward. I really like it.

Not only is that rude, but I disagree. I think the white ones were ugly and tacky; the new ones are gorgeous. I love the iMac G4 lampshade though :)

I think the white and aluminum iMacs both have their own niche for Apple users. Believe it or not, I think some "new" Apple users lusted over the white iMac when they were not willing to make the switch but made them start thinking Mac. In a way, there might be some nostalgia for them with that particular modoel. Then, there are some people who prefer white over aluminum. Personally, I like both and would be happy with either.

I don't find it rude to have an opinion on the design of something. Perhaps if the kid posted his setup and said "I made the case for my iMac" and the other guy came back with such comment "it is incredibly ugly" then perhaps that is rude. However, to have an opinion on an object isn't rude. Why sugar coat it? He didn't directly insult the guy's setup, he simply insulted Apple's choice of design. I have to agree and if that puts me in the minority then so be it. I always liked the clean white look.

I love aluminum, it's a great step up. I am a sucker for the white plastic though, I have always been turned on by that look. I can't wait to grab a white iphone!

He was rude towards Apple's designers, who pretty much everyone here thinks are doing an excellent job.

I too am in the minority. I like the white look, the matte screen and the handy magneto-remote holder. Having had one (or more) of each since inception, the white upright iMac was my favorite. The Aluminum with glossy screen seems too industrial for my taste. We all have opinions but unfortunately, not much choice.;)

Yes, opinions are just like *******s, we all have one!
