well im having a hard time creating loops on it so i can play back to them.
also i can find a distrotion im very happy with.

i'll have to check out x-edit. it's sound pretty nice!:D

Hm ok. Do you have the Quantize setting on? I find that as long as I set the tempo correctly and then turn on the quantize function the loops turn out pretty good. As far as distortion, it takes a bit of work to really get great distortion sounds, but once you get them they are awesome. Just make sure you realize that alot of the presets have both an overdriven amp as well as a distortion stomp box turned on. Most of my really good distortion patches use one fairly intensely (stomp box or amp) and the other just a bit. Hope this helps.

Yeah X-Edit is really helpful because there are some setting that you can only edit from the computer, not on the device its self. Its also easier than bending down to edit presets.

Best buy, and it had another level to it, but I took it off back I like the simplicity. Sadly I do not know if they still have it. Its so hard to find a computer desk, thats attractive and built for people who have lots of wires and dont want them to be seen

I can't recall when I posted last. All I know is it was pre-delivery of the 2nd diploma. /shrug Yes, this is commonly referred to as my corner of self-indulgence.
No apologies for the crappy iPhone picture. Laziness FTW.

i replaced my bluetooth kb/mouse with a full sized keyboard/mouse wireless combo, got a dell display, and got a rain design mStand to tuck my MBP away to the side of my desk..

Anyone who has this speaker know if it's possible to hook up a PS3 or xbox 360 to it?

Just get a simple RCA->3.5mm cord/adapter. You ought to be able to pick one up at any big box store for under $10. However, I dunno what that particular speaker set uses. If the sub has a female port that you plug into, you're good to go, but it it has a cord with a male end coming out of it, you'll need to buy a female to female adapter as well. Car/home audio sections should have them...or if all else fails, Radio Shack carries them.

well you actually can't connect a ps3, 360, tivo hd or any HDMI device to the ACD because of HDCP, the display needs to support HDCP to be able to be used with a ps3 or such device. But the ACD as of right now doesnt support HDCP, maybe if apple puts blu-ray drives in their computers we might see an updated ACD line up with full HDCP support. But until then you would have to use another display.

That is an awfully small stool for such a mighty setup! :p
