Which install did you use to get osx on your eee pc 1000H? How hard was it, does everything work(sleep, wifi, etc)? I'm thinking of getting one but I'm finding a hard time getting info on osx86 for that model specifically. There's plenty of info about the msi wind but I'd like some info on getting everything smooth on the eee 1000h

It was a trial and error process, but eventually I figured out how to get everything working. Sleep, wifi, brightness and bluetooth all work but sound and ethernet do not. You can either use bluetooth headphones for sound or get a $2 usb sound card on ebay. It's not a deal breaker for me since I use it mostly to take notes. Despite the initial trouble of getting it to work it's an amazing little machine, especially for the price.

Why does everyone on this site seem to have something against cables?

I like having all of my cables neat and hidden so no one sees them (plus, it makes the setup look better). Hence why with my new setup some will be run through the wall and others attached to a bar at the back of my desk.

Here's mine: My 2.5 year old Macbook Pro with Apple Wireless Keyboard(soon to be the older generation, I hate chiclet keys!) with my Radtech BT600. My Seagate 500GB FreeAgent, along with the iMac I picked up for $40, all on the desk I picked up for $10.

I'm pleased with it, other than the fact that my current seat is a drum stool, not comfortable for more than 10 minutes.

Not too much of a change since last time, but I'm bored right now waiting for client feedback. :)

#1: My setup, Computer specs in signature. Used for graphic design work and some games.

#2: Girlfriends setup. iBook G4 1,33 ghz with an older Apple CRT + my Apple collection. I got almost all older computers for free from agencies I work with, they know I'm a collector so before they throw something away they give it to me. :) The 2 G3 iMacs don't work anymore, both have a broken display. But the towers & the iBook G3 are still operational. There is also a Cube not pictured, it sits next to the TV recording stuff via EyeTV. The Cube was my first Mac and I still love it.

Where are all of yall people getting these old iMacs for less than 100$? I'd love to get one for that cheap, even if I'd have to upgrade the HDD and RAM. as long as it got a nice Processor.

From a really good paysite. Only they would come up with something like that at a best resolution, 4000x2500.

Well I have no idea what I want in a mixer. Maybe a Rane TTM-57sl for video or a Korg Zero 4 or 8. But I do not know if I want to mix videos. Videos seems very hard since music videos do not come out the same time as the songs.

Plus I need at lease 3 inputs, the third one being for my Playstation 3.

set up at college. not my ideal set up at all, but had to deal with what furniture it came with. couldnt do much with wire management on the desk since it is built into the wall, only have the little hole in the desk to run wires. forgot my wireless mouse at home. getting the wireless apple keyboard soon.

MacBook Pro, Hanns-g hw191d monitor, and some stand from bestbuy

Vizio vx32l, xbox 360, and some $200 Phillips surround sound with ipod dock.

^ For what it's worth, I like your setup.
I know how limiting setting up your equipment can be at college but you have done a fine job.
