Just moved across the country from Chicago to Los Angeles. Still getting settled, but here's my setup at the moment.

I love Chicago, but it's hard to beat my new view!

Welcome to Los Angeles, buddy . I don't know how many Apple stores they have in Chicago, but there are 3 within easy reach from where I live (Santa Monica, The Grove, Brea Mall).

 Wow, give me a minute to pick my jaw up off the floor. That is one amazing view, and I love the simplicity of your setup. Everything just seems to flow together, the computer, desk, pictures, everything.

What desk is that?

Thanks. There were a ton back home as well. I actually live in Santa Monica (half mile from the Pier/Promenade) so I definitely found the nearest apple store already. haha! Tried playing with the new MB/MBP the other day but everyone had their grubby mits on them. ah well, next time.

thank you. It's definitely nice falling asleep/waking up to the sounds of crashing waves.
The desk is from IKEA. Mikael in think? something like that with a glass top.

Alrighty, I'll bite. Here's my setup.

Mac Mini, ACD 20 Inch, BT Keyboard and Mouse, M-Audio 49e USB keyboad, 200 GB Firewire HDD, and iPod Touch. It's a humble setup, but it gets the job done. I love it.

Love the Aeron klaus! Been looking for the longest time to get one myself, just waiting for the right deal.

As good as everyone says it is though, right?

wow that look like a lot of torque you are putting on that small hinge and subsequently the wall. id make sure that

1) the hinge is able to support that
2) the wall is able to support that

last thing you want is your monitor falling down and ripping out some of your wall

other than that, it looks cool

or worse the monitor could fall on the no-no area:eek: ooch!

Am I the only one that finds it laughable that *all* of Apple's displays still only have *one* input, when other monitors like the Dell Ultrasharp range have Component, Composite, D-Sub, DisplayPort, DVI-D, HDMI and S-Video? Even a cheap POS unbranded LCD for £100 will have at least 2 inputs.

That's exactly why I always buy Dells. My Dell Ultrasharp 24" (2407wfp) was the best money I ever spent on a display. Half the cost of the 23" ACD, with lots of inputs. And adjustable stand. And four USB ports. And card reader. And rotatable.

^ no. i have one computer and use my gaming console and HDD recorder on my Plasma HDTV.
That's not my point. My point is that you are paying more for exactly the same S-IPS panels but with next-to-no inputs. Does the shiny metal case really justify losing all but one of the inputs & massively hiking the price? I suppose for some people that answer is yes & I feel genuinely sorry for them for being so naive.

The MBP looks great...kinda like the old design better. The new one would be nicer were it not for the black border around the screen...also I get the impression that the new one is bulkier but that could be just me.

The new nano looks damn good next to the new MB. nice!
Agreed! Is it a MBP, though?
