Is that our beloved Steve standing? ;)

An awesome setup edesignuk, I'm jealous. Now I have gotten to see where you are posting from. It looks like your legs should keep nice and warm in the winter. ;)

I'm sure that you must be very proud of your setup, homerjward. Thank you for sharing. ;)

No but kudos to anyone who can tell who they are. Hint: Apple would have probably existed without them, but Mac OS X wouldn't.

Some of you guys must not be deep sleepers if that little light can keep you up. I have my computer right next to the bed and I usually sleep facing it and I never have any problems. Hell, sometimes I fall asleep with the room lights on if I am reading or something.

Not as fancy as some of the set ups that you all have, but it gets the job done:

(BTW: Some of the colors look a wonky, because I made the mistake of custom white balancing my camera against the eggshell/off white wall, and I didn't feel like going through the process again — so thats that. Notice the purple d2 light. :))

our new house

My dad inherited my grandmothers house when she died a few months ago. It's been weird moving into there, it's a huge house and still has all the furnishings that she had. We haven't done much, just set up the essential rooms that we need daily. My dad is a professional musician so he needed a studio. Here are pictures of what we have so far. The first is my bedroom set up temporarily until I go back to campus in January. I don't have my external display setup, don't really need it now. As you can see, the wallpaper is eye melting, but you get used to it. :)

The next is our parlor, it has our old entertainment system. It is a good setup and works well for playing halo and listening to music. There is an AirPort Express right next to the tv on the right.

The third is our new entertainment system :). We went all out, HD tv, Bose sound system, HD and DVR receiver. Our next thing to add is a DVD-R recorder so that we can save all the shows and movies we record. Oh, and it has an AirPort Express connected to it as well.

Finally, my dads new studio. It's pretty self explanatory and has everything he needs. He hopes to be able to bring in musician friends to do some recording and make some money off it. I go in there when I really want to play an practice my piano. I could go through and name all the parts, but you can figure them out.

i like seeing pictures of other peoples set ups. many of them look rather cozy, computers are warm after all.

this is the place that i spend much of my waking hours durring school. that is about as clean as it ever gets, give me two weeks. it wont look anything like that.

I noticed from these pics that hardly anyone is using the Apple mouse, when are Apple going to wake up to the fact that people want a better one?

The only I feel I really need a two-button mouse is when I'm gaming. All other times I'm fine with the single-clicker.

I showed my setup to some PC friends and they all laughed at me for using a microsoft mouse. I felt so embarrassed.

You don't think a right button, a scroll wheel, and a forward and back buttons are handy? They make me more efficient!

Apple could use these pics to help improve their computers: see how people are using hardware features etc, and use this to make even better computers

My Room

Well here's my room and setup, finally.
The first on is a wide angle of my room.

The second one is a different angle of my room and setup.

The third one shows my computer desk and all of my audio equipment.

Finally, the last one is a close shot of my desk. Over to the right is my Beige G3 (specs in signature), and in the middle is my beloved iBook G4. I have both computers connected to a KVM switcher, so I have use of the monitor the mouse and the awesome macally wireless keyboard with both machines. Also, I have it set up so that I can play sound from the iBook, the Power Mac or the iPod through either the Altec Lansing multimedia speakers on my desk, my component surround-sound system next to my desk or my studio speakers above my desk (on the top shelf). Now, I can also play from iTunes on my iBook to AirPort Express in any room in the house, which is totally awesome. Oh, and you can see my cool little eMate on the left side of my desk.
