Here is my setup http://chrismcdowell.net/Misc/Macrumors/

15" 1.5ghz 512 RAM 128 video Ram
Dual 2Ghz G5 9800Pro 2GB Ram
20" Cinema
My Xbox's and Xbox games stack(moved from shelf to show off)
Logitech Z-680's for sound
Linux running on the Dell(chrismcdowell.net webserver)
Win XP running on homebuilt closet PC
Homemade suit of armor

Anyone ever notice that a large number of PCs have the side of their case removed? Seems kinds funny... Kinda like oh hell, I give up...

I love how so many people here invest thousands of dollars in computer equipment but won't pay a couple hundred to have a decent and adequate desk for all their stuff. I can tell where peoples priorities are. Maybe it is just me, but I like to have a little clean and empty space on my desk. :)

Two Xbox's

yeah I got 2 halo's because I have 2 xbox's for lan parties. I bought my origninal xbox and halo in dcember for $300 when it first launched. They are $150 now so I thought of it as a bargin. The PC without the side was an older dell and I just didnt feel like putting it back on when I finished adding parts and it is noisy anyways so I just stick them in the closet and close the door, normallly they are not out. They are like the part of the family that your ashamed to have so they are hidden away because they look so bad next to my macs. :)

I like the basement workstation with the wood it look kinda neat like a little secret control console

Im still Looking for my Switch seen as Belkin are very Gay!, and do not answer the phone reply to emails or ring u back like they promise, the sux really bad. Looking for a good amplifier to have so i can run thru my optical ports on my G5 that would be funaswell as some top notch B&W Speakers! Way hay that would be cool!

Why in the world would you need that kind of screen real estate?

Well, I really enjoy having that much space. I use it to have photoshop on one screen, flash or illustrator on the other. Also a lot of the time when I am setting up websites it is nice to have dreamweaver or text edit open and have a browser window and transmit open on the other screen. Trust me, you can never have too much screen space. I am a Digital Media Studies major and I plan to get more into video editing. I am sure once I get more competent in that I will utilize screen real-estate.

Heres my modest setup!
PowerMac Dual 2.5 w/3GB RAM
Nvidia 6800 and ATI Radeon 9200
23" Apple Display
2 Samsung 17" Displays
Took this pic just after settin it up but have made things a lot cleaner since but thought u may enjoy! Wallpaper is from shots I took while in Miami during 03-04 for the Phish NYE run! Center one is the Arena and outside two are shots from inside when the balloons dropped...in case u cared! :D

my room in my apartment for the semester

Since my dad and I moved, I had to find a new place to live for the coming semester. Here is my set up at the new place. Not much, but really comfortable to me.

Everything I have is pretty obvious exept for that I have an AirPort Express connected to the stereo next to the bed so that I can play music to it from anywhere.

2 things I don't like about the express
1) Can't use multi-function printers with it; all it can do is print, so that means I would have to bring my printer over to the computer if i wanted to scan something.

2) Can only stream iTunes music. I would like to send all the music from my computer through it to the stereo. I have a really nice stereo and it would be great if the sound from DVDs (along with quicktime video) and GarageBand could be sent through it too. I would imagine this is only a software limitation, not a hardware one. It seems like a really simple thing to fix and it could be in the system prefs as a choice for sound output.

you know.... on Apple's site they've got a feedback form for OS X. for things like suggestions for new features. ;) if you really want that, it migh be worth it to drop by that page and let Apple know.

This is my current set up. My wife and I are going to share the display between my PB and her soon to be mac mini.

i already have, and I did a search on their discussion boards and a lot of people have the same requests. I'm sure they are working on it right now. :)

Very nice!! Am currently waiting for something to happen with the Pbs until I get mine.. I don't really need it right away so am patiently waiting (and drooling at this thread!)

Awesome setups everyone.. some of them I just want to move into my house!

I wonder if a 30" would fit in there? I saw one at a local retailer, and that thing was HUGE!!

Man I remember using caddies in the way early days of CD-Rom on the Mac. There was something satisfying about using them.
