That looks like the same dorm furniture I used to have. Do you have that set up in a dorm?

Yeah I do. My roommate is no longer with me so I was able to use both desks for the setup.

When I get a chance I'm going to get my nsm-10 studio monitors out from the loft. I have got a couple of airport expresses which I have around the house.

haha, looks like someone gets screwed over with the drawrless desk.

btw, look out dude. although those are big items in your room, they're still expensive. lock your doors whenever you leave.

Yeah, definitely. I also took out an insurance plan on it. Hopefully I will never need to use it.

Hey, my future set up! (Advise please)

Hey guys, im new to mac, but i am planning on getting the following...

23" cinema display
1.5" 1.5 GHz Powerbook
Wireless Apple Keyboard
Microsoft Wireless Mouse (Still got a little bit of the dark side in me)

I wanted to get a 30" Display, but my powerbook won't have a good enough graphics card for it if i'm right in saying.

I was thinking of getting the new G5 iMac instead of the display aswell, but i dont know if i can run the iMac's OS X and still be able to plug my Powerbook into it at the same time and run files and applications from my Powerbook.

Whatever happens i am going to wait till after the 11th of January to see what announcements are made, hopefully a powerbook upgrade, doubt it will be the G5 though, maybe a Dual G4, but that's all just speculation huh.

Thanks guys and gals!

Mike

You must not care about that windows laptop too much if all it gets is a tiny piece of wood to balance on. :)

I'm just asking for some opinions....

In case you check back here... Thankyou

It's just that I've seen too many people with their subs on their desks, and I know that it really is stronger on the floor, but it's truly personal pref. If you prefer the feeling and sound of the bass when it's on the desk, then go for it - that's what having your own speaker system is about right? :)

Why in the world would you need that kind of screen real estate?

why does anyone need any real estate?

well no, a Cinema Display won't help you with investments or that kind of thing. :p

but there's plenty of reasons you'd need that kind of screen space - video work, any type of graphics work - PhotoShop etc.

but you're forgetting the #1 reason - because you can. :D

My favorite part of your setup, the two copies of Halo. I also have two copies, my friends and i burnt first one out playing it so much, I'm sure it was a similar case for you.
