You'll be hard pressed to guess whats in the keyboard space there.

Man, I don't know how some of you guys deal with having NO desktop space free. When ever I am doing homework for my classes I have 2 text books, calculator, and my notebook on my desk. All I do are formulas and diffy Q's so I go through a lot of paper and need a lot of references. I would go crazy with just the room a keyboard takes up.

OK-here's mine:

350 Mhz G4 AGP Sawtooth 64 Mb ATI Radeon 9000 video card (I love that thing)
1 Ghz iBook G4 (love it even more!)

I think I'll just upgrade my desktop with a new processor and yet another new videocard and hold out for the G6. I'm going to try to live without a G5! :)

same here i personally prefer putting the screen either to the left and right for more space i nfront of me (is till have a crt)

and i can't stand those "computer tables" as well..they are simply to small to do anything else

should the magnet in that speaker be so close to the HD? Or am I old school worried and that does not happen these days?

Well, my 2 cents worth.

I suspect that speaker is made from China and the magnet probably couldn't hold a paper clip up to the side of the cabinet.

Besides, I believe the speaker is within 6" of the front of the speaker cabinet and the hard drive is near the back of the G5 Case.

I don't think it will be any problem.

Plus, the G5 case is pretty thick. I don't worry. Sorry for the lack of an amazing product, but its an SIRT151 down there, its the Samsung Terrestrial HDTV receiver. I love it! Was that comment about my monitor? Thanks, though that guy with the three monitor setup looks alot better.

I have to wonder why so many people let their tower cases sit on their desks and hog that much workspace.

Mine is on my desk, and it's not in the way at all. In fact, it's quite handy being there instead of being on the floor. Besides, I don't have any place to put it on the floor! :p Apple towers look good on the desk, anyway.

the only things missing here are the printer (hp 5550) and the Grado SR-60 headphones that i shower my ears with as often as possible.

Here's my setup. What this shot fails to capture is the M$ mouse & neon green Mtn. Dew M$ XBOX to the right of the iBook.

Having the monitor way off to the side would absolutely destroy my neck, too.

That's why I have a rotating chair and a wireless keyboard.;)
Since it's a CRT, I can't put it in the middle, or else I would lose a ton of desk space.

I made a few changes since my friend took these photos when I first got this setup (Oct.). I now have the 30" Cinema Display mounted on the wall behind the desk using an OmniMount. This way I can just swing the monitor over to the left so I can watch movies in bed. I usually just watch cable TV on the CRT monitor using a ViewSonic NextVision N6 scaler.

I just took some new photos but I can't download them yet. My friend borrowed the camera and broke the USB cable so I can't connect it. I will get a new cable or a Compact Flash adapter so I can post more pics if anyone is interested.
