wow dariuslatamus,

I LOVE YOUR SETUP!!!! Im pretty much going for the exact same thing shortly. I want the fast but small pc box for gaming, a 20" dell or apple moniter, and probally a 15" pb.

who makes your gaming box? do you like it? where can I get the best priced gaming box? So far Ive been mainly looking at alienwares little thing like that.

ok, thanks... and again AWSOME SETUP! :)

I was searching on Newegg.com for RAM, and look what came up: I think that this is the same case that he has

Just remember.. I'm not approving of you buying a pc ;)

When I switch to the Mac mini (using the VGA/USB switcher box), it drives the Sony 23" LCD at 1920 x 1200 resolution. When I snapped this picture, my Sony PC was driving both LCDs. I use a Matrix code screensaver on all of my PCs, so when they're all screensaving, it's very movie-like. :)

Do you get any slowdown with the Mini running a screen in such a high res? i.e. do the cube effects work when you change users, expose function without being choppy etc...

I'm strongly considering putting off the iMac purchase and getting a Dell 24" to go with my Mini.

Cheers,
Adam

Doesn't seem slow to me... I don't switch users (it's just me), but Exposé seems to go fairly smoothly.

If you can still get it, the Dell 24" deal seems like a really good way to get one of those screens for supercheap. At that price, I'm tempted to buy one just to have it.

Just bought a new display from a Macrumors forum member :D

Lets see what I have in that pic:

Same iPod
Same speakers (for use w/ iPod only)
Same Sony TV (About... Mine is 20", yours looks a little bigger...)

This is usually my setup. And that is why I love my PowerBook.... :)

Neat and clean, indeed. :D

Or as neat and clean as I could get with 4 monitors on the G5 :D !

It's nice to have room to put papers and the iBook on the desk! The old setup left no room for anything!

I find that this arrangement works very well--plenty of free desk space, and it's easy to see all the monitors without turning too much.

Here is my new PB and my desk in general...

Oh, and to all the people who posted before me - you guys had some killer setups...:)

Here is my desk...

OK, I've made a few changes to my office in the past couple of months, so here's a new picture of it:

And yes, the Mac mini drives the 23" Sony LCD at its full 1920 x 1200 resolution without any problems at all.

whats with the Sony fetish? :p
I'm primarily a PC user... I used to have a lot of Dell stuff, but have gradually replaced it all with Sony gear. The Mac mini and iPod Photo are recent additions to my setup... I'm not a Switcher, I'm an Adder. (Not the snake.)

Beyond what you see here, my Sony gear includes: 32" HD TV in bedroom, 3 DVD players (400 disc changer + DVP-S9000ES player in home theatre, DVD/VHS combo player in bedroom), clock radio, cordless phone, 7" LF-X5 LocationFree TV, 2 digital cameras (incl. DSC-F828 8MP camera), 9" TV in kitchen, 2 camcorders (DV, 8mm), and a MiniDisc recorder/player.

I congratulate Apple on finally creating a machine (the Mac mini) that seamlessly integrates into my existing setup at a quite reasonable price.

Here is my iBook. That's my first Apple Computer and i got it last summer. I use it everywhere in the house!

My current desk can only hold my Dell Desktop. I'm waiting a new comp (iMac maybe :) ) to change for a new one.

I've always wondered why the USB ports on the iBook are on the left side. One of the rare times when left-handed people have it better.

I think it is because most people are more comfortable inserting a CD with their right hand. It's also the design that they chose for the display hinge that prevented them from putting ports on the back.
