My set up is two computer desks side by side. The pixs will show how cluttered my desks are; but, it is very functional in terms of using my notebooks. All set up on the stands so that there is space beneath to tuck away keyboards/mouse and other accessories such as hubs. I need to find a better place for my 12" PB as it is somewhat sqeezed in on the Windows desk. I admit I need to do something about the entire set up to be more presentable.

WOW

6 Laptops, well you never get too many :p
well if you get too many ley me know, I can help you out :p

Nice setup though ;)

excuse the horrible quality. any suggestions?

Dunno

Dunno if we can excuse you on the poor quality of that laptop. lol I agree go get an ibook or something. Atleast a sony anything but Dell.

Its funny you should say that.

My dell is actually a lot more stable then my Mac Mini. Less crashes, faster (even tho my mini has a gig of ram now and my dell has 512).

Its just a really great, light mobile machine. 17 inches wide screen. about 4 + 1/2 lbs. Built in wireless.

Its fun.

But guys, I was talking about the setup not the specs haha.

there is something seriously wrong with your mini

There is no reason why it should crash more than a dell. If you are having trouble with it crashing more than a Dell than I would definantley take it in to an apple store and tell them just that. Say my Mac Mini is crashing more than my Dell. They should set it right.

out of curiosity ... are you running 3-rd party software that changes you dock, GUI, or provides any kind of real-time updates? *i see something transparent on the left side of your mac desktop. is your iPod plugged into USB 2 or FireWire?

your mini should be rock solid if you not doing anything stupid; though, you could have a bad machine. who knows ...

He's right. If your mini is crashing more than a dell, there is something seriously wrong. Get it checked out--Apple will set things right.

Not saying my mini crashes on a constant basis.

Just, my dell never ever blue screens or locks up.

You just have to know how to use a windows machine.

Nothing changing the dock or stuff. Just adium with some transparency.

Here's mine

Old and new setup in the same pic.

My new 15" 1.67 powerbook, right after I took it out of the box. (you can see the open box on top of the Sony monitor) Notice the firewire symbol on the brand spanking new Dell 2005FPW monitor, I was copying the data from the old G4 to the PB when I took the pic. The G4 has since been sold, and the Sony CRT is in the basement. I don't miss either one at all!

You can also see my ipod, cell phone, Lacie firewire drive and my KISS candle.

:D

A Dell that never locks up?! Submit it to some sort of freak show! You could get a bundle! ;)

Wow, a lot of you have a lot of cool setups!

I have too many old macs and I'm way too messy for a cool setup. But most of you saw my loads of computers earlier in the thread.

I like the guy with the 5 laptops, I have more than 5 but half don't work and the other half are black and white!

Nice setups! Keep'em comin'! :)

Hmmm

Freak show is right. I am no windows newb myself. I could leave my freshly installed windows computer with adaware and some virus software maybe browse around a little nothing much and it will slowly rip itself apart in a month. I stopped going online with it and only use it as a media server for my xbox and it does alright. But it doesnt do anything but hold movies on a hard drive. My laptop does PB does everything and I have 0 problems. Get Onyx and run the maintance scripts in it update prebindings check permissions and run cron utilities. Mac's should never even by a little bit crash more than a Dell.

the dell must be sabotaging the mini!!! :p

i've been using PCs for over 20 yrs. ... you must be a PC kinda guy. i swear computers react to the users attitude when using the computer. i have a couple freinds that never crash PCs (Dell and eMachine), but the instant they touch a mac it falls apart.
