I've not had a phone for a while, basically because I hate having to carry the things round everywhere. My last phone was an MDA Compact, which wasn't really all that bad.
Recently got myself the HTC S620, running WM 6.1. I'm actually rather hoping I'll be able to get this running 6.5

Used to have a 1st gen iphone (hacked), but for business use, at least the amount and feature I use, the iphone is not feasible. No internet connection sharing out of the box? In a country that lives on this feature?... No MMS (only the newer models?),etc. so Iwent beack to the countries national pride.. Nokia..
Shiny new e75, love it
BTW: I loved my iPhone very much but it was too cumbersome to get work done with it... personal preference, not trying to start a flame war.
And since we only have one phone with multiple numbers here....

Ugh, I wish/hope Apple can implement that into their next iPhone release. I hate carrying around two phones. But at least Im not alone, because a lot of people in Greece seem to carry two, or more, phones.

I've got a white iPhone 3G that I've had for over a year

I've never had so many phone swaps since the iphone. It changed my life lol!

I started my smartphone interest with an ancient BB 7100, then moved to an LG Cu510(?) which I hated and sold immediately, and moved to the Samsung blackjack which I really liked a lot. (tethering and MMS out of the box. sheesh.).

Then the iPhone launched and I got one for free (I used to work for Apple) and I was just in absolute heaven, despite the 8 replacement phones I had to get. Fast forward a year and the iPhone 3G comes out, a couple months after launch I sell my 2G iPhone for a 3G. (net to me it was still a free phone ;))

In that time-frame I had a wealth of problems with my iPhone 3G and had numerous replacements. (I'm on my 6th as of right now. Which still has problems) I got so fed up that I bought a Blackberry Bold, which broke the day I got it (The trackball didn't work and I couldn't type w/ 2 columns of keys). The ebay guy was kind enough to send me another one. Once I had a working Blackberry I really really liked it a lot. It did everything well. The only thing I missed were all the incredible apps on the iPhone and how easy it was to use.

I wound up selling the blackberry afterall (I still wish I had it, as a second phone) and went back to my iPhone 3G.

I'm not intending to get the 3Gs, but I'm contemplating another phone because I get awful reception still and I'm just tired of the problems. (which is too bad because there are SO many things the iPhone does right!)

*sigh* what a twisted love/hate relationship I have with this thing.

I am very intrigued by the Pre but I have an absolute loathsome attitude towards sprint. Which leaves the android platform (Or verizon and the blackberry Tour.)

That wallpaper looks quite useful. Where would one might get that?:)

You can screenshot your calendar. I did it and cropped it in-phone using Photoforge. It can also be downloaded off the phone, modded and re-upped.

Getting it off flickr sounds fine as well, but I know me. :D

well if you have any questions about any of the ones i own, let me know. I occasionally switch out sims between G1 and iphone 3g but pre, tour have their own numbers so I use them frequently depending on the mood. I'm not an expert on any (I do web programming and I like to see how it looks natively on the phones) but I can at least try things or answer a decent amount of your questions.

In the past few months:

Samsung Sway:

samsung-sway-veriz-duo_open.jpg

Cheap and incredibly thin. Made out of brushed aluminum, a nice heft and it was gorgeous. However, it had an interface slower and less intuitive than the phones I had 7 years ago, lagged 10-characters behind when texting, and the battery lasted less than 24-hours (according to online reviews, they all have these problems, mine was not defective).

Returned it for an LG Decoy:

This was a great phone, the bluetooth headset was incredibly useful. I can't imagine using one that you had to charge separately and remember to bring, I guess I'll never have one until they're all integrated or they come up with something new. Left it on top of my car and drove down RT. 1 after only a month or so. I found it, but it was laughably demolished.

HTC Touch:

HTC%20XV6900-HTC-Touch.jpg

Quite the POS compared to an iPhone, but it was free through Verizon, and it's the only phone of its kind that I could buy without a data plan, which is important to me, because I only call/text and the internet is so amazingly clunky and slow on these things. Camera is good, battery life is amazing, and it's quite small.

TBH, the main reason I got it was because it was white!
