Here's my phone... It's due for an upgrade.... Time to start looking for a smartphone ;)

I have an iPhone - here's a link for those of you who don't know what it looks like.

I use this piece of s**t (Moto C168i) for when we have swimming during gym at school. I don't want the iPhone to get stolen from my locker (obviously), but they can have this $15 phone. It really sucks for texting during class, though - the buttons are too small and there's no full keyboard :(

-PHOTO-

So you pay for two cell contracts just so you can have a phone during swim class?

Maybe he swaps the sim out? I still have my old pebl as an emergency phone to do just that :)

Yep, no need for 2 contracts.

I have a Nokia 6030 that I put my SIM in whenever I go to the gym so my good phone doesn't get broken or stolen. My brother got the 6030 for free when we signed up with T-Mobile, but already had an unlocked Sony Ericsson phone so he gave it to me. But I could've just as easly bought the 6030 from T-Mobile as a prepaid phone (and would've only paid around 30 bucks) and use it.

If someone wants to steal that piece of junk, they can have it. The bolt cutters or lockpicking kit they would have to buy to get into my locker are probably worth more than the phone itself.

Still pushing that, huh?

Depends on where you live...I know in South NJ/Phil, T Mobile is the worst.

(Thats not true for all areas...)

Should be the same for At&t (or at least cingular). In SE Missouri I still roam on Cingular towers. I haven't seen an AT&T towers yet so I didn't know if the old deal extended to them with the acquisition (but I doubt it).

Also depend on the the phone. A lot of tri-bands lack 850Mhz reception which is a large chunk of Roaming here in the US. I know the pay as you go phones will only use T-mo's towers and won't roam.

Yes, I suppose I still am pushing it

I know it depends on location, and in my location, AT&T is poo. ;)

T-Mobile pay as you go will roam. I don't think the roaming coverage is as wide as post-paid, but I know for a fact prepaid can roam in some parts of the country. Their prepaid roaming coverage map is at http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/prepaid.aspx

T-Mobile will also roam on AT&T towers. I think the reason yours shows Cingular instead of AT&T may be because they haven't switched the names on your towers. But whenever I roam in Missouri, my phone shows AT&T (if you're ever out that way, on highway 63 between Jeff City and Rolla, you'll be roaming, and your phone should say AT&T)

My wonderful Sony Ericsson K610i. I love this phone. Sony Ericsson's have the best UI out of any phone, I reckon. Besides the iPhone of-course.

OH hands down, i think that SE phones are among the best. That is one of the reasons why i switched to AT&T, one was to get the iphone, and the next was so that when my contract is up, i can get a decent phone, and not one of those CDMA crapsters.

Just got this today. Awesome phone :D

I love SE phones as well. I went from an SE w810i to a Blackberry Pearl, didn't like it a whole lot. Then I moved on to a Windows Mobile PocketPC which I liked, but it was just way too bulky and WM6 did have it's decent share of bugs, still a good OS though. Then I moved onto a RAZR2 which I had for about 5 hours. I realized there was no Mac compatibility whatsoever, not for syncing, not even just to load music on it, plus the interface absolutely sucked (and it's their new Linux based OS too, what a disappointment). fortunately Motorola has a no BS return policy. So now I ended up back at SE and couldn't be any happier. I love this phone.

At first I thought I'd miss a smart phone, but this does web, e-mail and Google Maps, the only things I used my Blackberry and PPC for.

The last time I'll be posting this phone as my phone. My beloved e815's run is going to come to an end Thursday when I'll be replacing it with a BlackBerry Pearl 8130 on Verizon. I'll post pictures of that once I get it.

Well my trusty ol' RAZR finally died... the screen randomly blanked out and sometimes I had to reboot the phone several times to fix it. Alltel was nice enough to upgrade me to the phone Verizon customers know as "The Chocolate Flip" (aka the LG AX8600) It's a really great phone, and I've even bought a microSD card and loaded up some music. I had an old LG LX5450 and that phone was a brick... it refused to die. Reception sucked on the 5450... but this phone is much better. I like how I can read text messages on the front screen :D

ATT 'Tilt'

Nicest phone ive ever had, very fast inernet, great email, microsoft office for homework on the go, and a nice but sluggish 3MP camera. The UI is pretty sluggish though, and if your not used to a windows mobile phone like I was then it will take some getting used to. Im wishing I got the HTC Touch though :/

samsung i320

Here is a Samsung i320. Thought it was a bargain but there are good reasons for them to have already launched at least 4 similar models that supersede it.

I used to say that I have never gone wrong buying anything from Samsung... this was my first. All that thanks to Microsoft Windows Mobile v5 that makes this phone a mess to use. :(

Lg Venus, pretty cool little phone.

I have an iPhone but im giving it to my brother since I get a bigger discount through my work with Verizon and I don't need all the bells and whistles of the iPhone anyways.

LOL i have the same phone configuration (only my k850i is blue :D ) + i have P1i...t650 is my main machine i love it :)

just got the t650 the other week. love it. will be my workhorse for quite some time i'm guessing.

Well here is my POS of a phone...
Photo 15.jpgPhoto 16.jpg

I had to replace this thing twice. The first time it just stopped turning on unless it was plugged in and when I would take it out it would just turn off. The second time it got really bad reception and would drop my calls all the time. My dad is thinking about switching to at&t so he could get an iPhone and I hope by then I would have a job so I can get one too...
