Ordered online through Premier at about 9am (phone 1) and 11am (phone 2) on 6/12. Both out of back order but nothing else yet. I know I'm being impatient but...you know...it feels justified.
 
So just called at&t again, was told order will not ship until tomorrow even though I ordered on the 10th. Cancelled order on the way to best buy to preorder for guaranteed tomorrow availability.
 
So do you guys think that once the package gets to a Fedex facility and gets scanned that the estimated delivery date will change ?

Yes on premier, and about shipping it was my understanding that if you placed your order ,i can't remember the cut off time, on the 17th then they guaranteed you would get it on the 19th, What i see is a lot of people that placed their order before me might not get it after i do, weird.

Hello all,
I ordered two iphone 3GS 32GB's. One was at a retail store (6/10) and the other on premier (6/10 but not processed until 6/11).

The retail store was delivered this morning to San Diego,CA by UPS around 10:30am. My Premier order has finally shipped with a tracking number, but different carrier USPS. [my account is with USPS, go figure]

I'm patiently waiting to see if my premier order is overnight or 2day. If it turns out to be a 2day shipment, should I just go ahead and pick up my iphone at the retail store? And would my activation and upgrade fee be waived? I'm sure if I stick with the online order i'll be fine with a fee waiver.

That leads me to this. Since I ordered two iphones and if I activate the retail store one, what do I do with my premier order? Can I just keep it and have two iphones or even sell it off, especially if I activate in store? Or should I refuse the package and have it RTS [return to sender]? Would doing so cause me a ship back fee?

When I heard of the other option for over night shipping, I never recalled such an option when I ordered. So I went and tried to order another one and only 2day shipping is available!?
 
Checked my order again and the 3 order lines compressed to 1 line for the SIM and has a tracking number now.

Yes, many of us are quite upset about that, since we could have gone through other channels and had this situation.

Anyone else besides this guy showing a delivery date of the 19th who used the DEFAULT FREE SHIPPING?

Well, that's a lie then. I'm FedEx also, and my tracking number specifies 2nd Day, NOT overnight. Just the other day the Facebook ATT rep told me I'd have mine Friday. (I ordered the 10th). Tracking shows expected delivery on the 22nd.
 
Why are some shipped UPS and some others fedex?

I am a UPS shipped, and it says various Sim only as shipped. No other detail, nothing back ordered...

Can they actually update this over night to get them here on time?

Orders placed on the 9th, 10th, and 11th(?) seem to have tracking numbers so far (shipped this morning). 12th and later are starting to show shipped. You'll have a tracking number soon; tomorrow at the latest I'm guessing.

Except for this guy. You should call...maybe there is a problem with your order.

I was on the 10th too, through the Premier web site. I have:

We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly.

with nothing about it being backordered. I'm on hold with AT&T (20mins) :-/ I actually have one on reserve at the Apple store, but having shipped would have been far more convenient. It doesn't recognize my order information on the vanilla AT&T website.
 
What's amazing is that AT&T didn't overnight these phones to us, but yet they were more than happy to priority ship phones to the retail stores and pay all the added cost of having someone service the customer, get the phone, explain everything to the customer and get their phone activated in the retail outlet.

Simply amazing.

AT&T, you fail.

AT&T gave me free overnight FedEx delivery. Of course I'm paying full price for the phone though since I just got the 3G in February.
