I think you two might need to call them. Instead of "Attention", I have a box that says "Processing" with a check mark in it. I'd guess that means they have a problem processing your order.

Today, instead of estimated time, the automated phone system announced "extended wait time... please hold"

And after 20 seconds: "we are sorry, we are experiencing technical difficulties, please try again later". Total time 2 minutes. Tried a few times, no luck so far.

I really don't know what to make of this. The 'last updated on' date on the 'new' exclamation point status is 6/18. The CSRs that I spoke to over the last few days all told me that my order DID have problems (something to do with number porting), but as of yesterday morning (19th) they were fixed and there won't be any further processing delays. They said processing should complete by Sunday and I should get a shipping notice on Monday (assuming I still have an iPhone reserved.)

For what it's worth, if I call the 866 number and check my status using my ported wireless number, it says my order is in process and should be completed within the next business day - no mention of an error. Now I'm wondering if that stupid status page is just behind.

Again, I think this would go a lot smoother if we all just had a reliable status that was actually meaningful - so we would KNOW when we are supposed to call and bug them.

I am also calling this number and getting the same response "technical difficulties".

Just noticed someone else having this problem was also porting their number. Wonder if this is also in common with the others having problems.

That's their way of saying 'we're not in today'. I've gotten the same message consistently on weekends and off hours. If you dial the number, then select 5-4-0, you will get a message that their office is closed.

Still waiting for my 6/22 delivery. :( What a long weekend this is gonna be.

Mine was scheduled for 6/22 also and my tracking page just stopped tracking... so I stopped looking at it.

...then UPS showed up at my door with a little box from AT&T. :D
 
Well my premier status just went from showing me my phones with some kind of a status bar, back to the 'we have received your order and expect to begin processing it shortly' screen. Wonderful. Now I'm going backwards. Thanks AT&T - you've been GREAT!

Mine is back to "expect to begin processing it shortly" also. Niiiiiiice, same place it was at 10 days ago. Pretty sure we will get our phones just in time to replace them with the 4g :p
 
I just called the 1-866 "status" line and the only reponse I get is: Please be advised you must return your phone within 30 days of shipping date for a refund." I get no status info.

Mine is still showing the progress bar and also has the phone numbers that were assigned to the phones. Does that mean they are ready to ship? Ordered 6/17 early AM.

Mine is back to "expect to begin processing it shortly" also. Niiiiiiice, same place it was at 10 days ago. Pretty sure we will get our phones just in time to replace them with the 4g :p
 
I ordered on the 16th in the PM. Received my shipping notification today, to arrive on the 22nd via FedEx...

This was for a black 16 gig 3Gs.
 
Ordered on the 10th...as of today nothing! I should have just ordered through the Apple.com site like I did for my wife (she got her phone on Friday). I am not feeling so premiere right now.

Seems like an inordinate number of us that ordered on the 9th through 11th are getting screwed here....

My status screen is back with the 'attention' symbol.
 
I ordered a 16GB 3GS on the 12th and then switched to a 32GB on the 17th when they allowed certain users to upgrade at the cheaper price.

The premier order status still shows the 16GB on order while the regular AT&T order status shows the 16GB as canceled with the 32GB "still processing."

Heh wonder if I will get both phones :eek:
 
Ordered on the 9th

I'd gotten confirmation when I called Fedex that they were actually delivering yesterday even though I was supposed to receive my two iphones on the 22nd. Unfortunately, I my wife and I had to leave out of town for the afternoon yesterday and I resigned to myself that I would just end up getting them on Monday after all. We rolled in at about midnight last night to find two nice little boxes (2 x 32GB Black) sitting on my welcome mat. Activated 'em this morning!

Which brings up a question. Weren't we supposed to have to sign for these?

Are you trying to port your number from a different carrier? Reason being that I've read other posters say that porting problems are usually the reason for the attention symbol, and was the reason why their real order date was moved to a much later date.

You might want to call them up first thing Monday morning to clarify just in case.
 
I got mine too... Looks like ATT came though after all.
Glad to hear you got yours, too. I was really surprised UPS delivered on Saturday. It never showed that it was scheduled for a delivery earlier than Monday, and never showed an "out for delivery" status on their web page today. It wasn't even a UPS truck that came - a guy pulled up in a car to deliver it.

All in all, getting the phone early Saturday morning instead of Friday was no big deal. But the lack of communication, and ridiculous mis-communications from ATT were maddening. When I called Thursday, if they had said it was shipping that day and I should have it no later than Saturday, I would have said great. Instead they said it wouldn't ship until the earliest next week, but couldn't really say when it would ship for sure. Then I got the email saying there was a partial shipment (the SIM) and the rest was on backorder (I didn't know then that the SIM comes installed in the phone!). So I was thinking I was among those who, because of ATT processing errors, was going to miss out on the first wave of phones even though I ordered early.

I'm happy to have mine, but definitely feel the pain of those still waiting.

Ever since the BS I got on Thurs about 'if I had called them sooner to check on the status, they would have noticed and fixed the problem sooner', I have called them twice a day. I even called the regular AT&T number today...and they couldn't do anything either. On Friday I was assured that all the porting problems were worked out and my order would be processed over the weekend. On Friday night, I was on hold for an hour and 20 minutes - and then their system just hung up on me. To date, I am still getting the 'attention' status. I still can't look up my order on the regular AT&T order status page either.

AT&T has already severely blown it with me and I will be bad-mouthing them at every chance I get now - and I'm not even a customer yet. If it weren't for the damn iPhone, I would simply cancel my order and stick with Verizon - and I STILL may do that if I hear 'everything is fine and it will be processed in the next 24-48 hours' on Monday morning.

I can't believe what a PISS poor job they are doing with customer service. I know they are swamped. LOTS of companies get swamped when they announce new products. However, there is no excuse for a system that doesn't provide ACCURATE, automated status. The customer simply has absolutely NO way to find out what is really going on with their order.
 
mine came this morning through UPS!!! it was in kentucky early this morning, made it up to my state at 8:25AM, and the tracking never updated until it updated to say Delivered! Saturday delivery, i was surprised as hell!
 
heres something funny, i got my iphone on the 19th, but i have yet to have been charged, or even recieve an email on the status of the phone other than the one sent when i first ordered on 6/9....wierd...im fine with getting one for free...its just wierd.
