Engineers want more logs. Good grief. It's not device specific yet they think it is. Worthless.
I went through the identical bs in 2012 with the same issue....they need more logs! Its a stall tactic....they know their servers are pooched. They hide poor performance of their products.

I've definitely change to Spark after three weeks without receiving any solution and losing important emails. I think this app works very well and with accounts with no push technology the mails received also at the time instantly.

Now I'm not getting iMessage notifications on my iPhone 7+ WTF gives? Phone was dark and asleep. Didn't get a lock screen/sound notification but when I woke the phone there was the messages banners. Maybe this IS an iOS 10 issue!!

Well I have an iPad on 7.1.2 that isn't getting emails. So that proves that its iOS related. As for iMessages. 2 days ago, I wasn't getting notifications, banners, or sound, but only badges. That seems to have cleared itself up.

The previous two posts describe failures attributed to notifications. Notifications are pushed to our ios devices by the APNs server. That's what is failing.

IMHO

Well I just tested the message, sending from gmail to my carrier's text address. IP7+ was sleeping and it never woke or sounded, but the badge count and lock screen banner showed when I lifted it up. There has to be something that has changed. Emails still fail but the other notifications (Apple apps) worked until now.

I can agree with that. But how does this affect messages like I am experiencing? I get the banner on the lock screen and a badge count, but no sound (when asleep) or waken screen.
[doublepost=1477766688][/doublepost]Here's a question - I always keep background refresh off for all. Could that be affecting this?

I have background refresh on. Still failure!
Im using two different carriers....ip7+ and ipad pro (cellular version). Test email sporadically pushes to one but not the other....sometimes to phone/no ipad....then ipad/ no phone. That tells me the connection from APNs server to our devices is timing out. Why, I dont know?
[doublepost=1477769072][/doublepost]Oh, and email always punishes to imac...because the connection is always "hot". That tells me that email server (not push server) is working. Emails are definitely in the email server.....but not being pushed via APNs server.

Add me to the list. Have had numerous conversations with Apple regarding the issue. I have 3 iPhone 7Plus in the household and we are all having the same issue with email pushing randomly.

This is one of the core services and obviously there are many people affected and their status page says everything is working fine.

Has anyone pointed them to this thread yet?

Still not fixed yet I'm amazed. There is really no intention to fix this I reckon for whatever reason

Well.....email is working! No one has lost emails because they are stored on the server. Its the push notifications that has failed....icloud status page has no listing for notification services!!!!!!

For those of us who have lived thru disasters of .mac, MobileMe, there has always been a reference in the status page stating that some users may not receive push notifications within one service or another. Apple does not even feel that it is something that they would be willing to admit to. That in my view is dishonest.

I too have this identical issue and have been watching this thread for some time. I started with support but didn't follow it up after the first steps if switching it off and the back on didn't work.

Oh yes many times. I've sent tips to many media outlets pointing them to this very thread, but nothing. I'm not sure what step to take next. Maybe an open letter to Tim Cook could do something.

Has anyone else who has open tickets w/Apple heard any status?

If you need help sending or receiving mail on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
  1. Make sure that you're connected to the Internet. Try to open apple.com in Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  2. Go to iCloud.com on a Mac or PC to see if you can receive email for your iCloud account.
  3. Tap Settings > iCloud and turn on Mail on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  4. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Fetch New Data and turn on Push. Then send an email to your account to see if Push is working.
  5. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, and Calendars > Fetch New Data. Then Tap your iCloud account and turn on Push. If you have multiple iCloud Mail accounts, you can use Push with one account at a time. Make sure that Push is turned on for your primary iCloud Mail account.
  6. Turn your device off and back on.
If you still can't send or receive mail, turn off each of the settings in steps 3, 4, and 5 above, then turn them back on.

iCloud is the only email account I use on the phone and it's not pushing. Definitely a fault at Apple's end.

No new updates. This is getting a little depressing. The senior advisor who's looking after my case has left me a voicemail on Friday telling me that he hasn't yet heard back from engineering so at least he's keeping me in the loop, or stringing me along, depending which way you look at it.

Nothing new here as well. I'm just annoyed at this point. Still using Fetch and I'm without a doubt seeing a decrease in battery life. It was 15 minutes but had to back it up to 30 minutes because its constantly checking for mail.

We will never interact with engineers! Senior advisors......just a stall tactic! I say this from past experience.

Actually I have dealt with engineers directly before. After the AW came out last year, and watchOS 1.1 changed the heart rate monitor. I had an entire team of engineers working with me to see if it was a bug or 'feature'. I was in direct contact with them 5+ times a day and even had someone in Tim Cook's executive office in touch with me on a daily basis. This was after I emailed Tim Cook about the issue.

Wow! No way!
Then pull some strings for the rest of us and get them to fix this fiasco!!

Over the past couple of days I've noticed emails not getting pushed to my IP7 on iOS10.1 - I get it on my Mac mail but unless I open the iOS mail app it doesn't appear. Yes I made sure Push is set in settings. I see it mostly on the iCloud account.

Encountered similar issues with my iPhone 6 in recent days. Though it seems to be improving lately.
