I'd be really curious to find out how many are affected by this issue. If it's more widespread than just the few of us, as previously posted, it would be great to get Arn and macrumors involved and either post something about it and maybe get an official response from Apple.

I'm really starting to get a little concerned as I use my iCloud email as my main point of contact for many clients and I'm not sure anymore if I'm even getting all the email to my phone, push or fetch.

Could it be more to do with background cellular issues in general? I'm still having trouble despite being on 10.0.3.

No, its strictly a server issue on Apple's end. Its happened on all devices and all iOS versions.

For everyone experiencing this, can you confirm if you're also experiencing delays in VVM notifications?

I know someone mentioned a connection earlier and I didn't pay much attention to it at the time but I just tested my iPhone 7 vs my wife's iPhone 6 (she's not experiencing email delays) and her VVM notifications come in instantly whereas mine come in anywhere from 1-3 mins after the voicemail is left.

Okay, so I'm not the only one. I received a missed call yesterday and a voicemail. Took the voicemail 5 minutes to come through, even tho it was a 1 minute voicemail. I even said, "that seemed like a long time."

In regards to voicemails, yes. I actually discovered that a month ago and didn't think much about it. But this is clearly tied into the same issue as the emails not being pushed.

The engineers asked me for screenshots. I'm like of...? One with my phone showing no email notifications or badges. Opening 'Mail', showing no notifications, and 3rd, refreshing and then having a bunch of emails. Its like they don't believe me.

WOW! Seriously? They are asking for a screenshot of an email notification not pushing to the phone?!?!?! SMH
Someone needs to be fired.

Seriously? Screenshots of something that's NOT there? If you have any luck proving a negative, would love to know. lol

I'm calling in now to update my case with the VVM issue. They better not ask for screenshots.

I mean screenshots with that would actually work. You see the time of the missed call and the time the VM came in. Proving something is wrong.

The crazy thing is we shouldn't have to jump through these hoops to prove anything. Especially since the tech I spoke with said he was able to duplicate the issue on his phone and would document it. So either they aren't documenting anything or there is an an internal communications problem at Apple.

I can report that today, for the most part, I have gotten iCloud emails pushed to my IP7+ almost immediately. A few seconds before Spark has it. But earlier I did miss a few. Apple support is very annoying at times. Dealt with their engineers many, many times and some are not that swift, if you know what I Mean.

I'd like to say that I also have his issue. I've reported it to Support and going through the simple sets of switch off / on etc. Nothing's worked so far. I'm going to persue it because it's becoming a real problem.

I see. Well I just got off the phone with AppleCare and I was escalated to a senior advisor who will be handling this issue for me from now one.

He went though a few steps trying to replicate it but just my luck every email he sent me to iCloud came in instantly while on the phone.

I told him about the possible VVM connection but he said that Apple is aware of a VVM-related issue on the 7 that's being investigated but he doesn't believe it's related to this particular email-push problem.

He left me with steps to get a diagnostic file if/when the issue happens again, and to contact him so that he can get the file over to engineering.

He didn't ask for screenshots but he did a cool screen-sharing thing which I've never done before.

We're you using your phone at the time? If so, that's why they came in instantly. While the phone is awake (screen on it takes the phone about 30 secs to a minute to go into sleep mode) emails will push properly... It is while the phone is asleep where the issue lies. That being said, it appears to lie in the connection while phone is sleeping. Perhaps try that yourself and report back to them.

I wasn't using my iPhone, I was on a landline during the call. But he never asked me to wait for the phone to go to sleep when checking to see if mail came in. That's good to know. I'll test it again later during sleep and see.

Yeah this was my point. I have the same experience. I think it's more to do with background data connection than apple servers.

Tried getting a Senior advisor on the phone and was told they would have to call me back. What BS. Amazing that this has been going on now for over two weeks without any concrete information.
