Does it change anything? It was pretty clear that the issue is from the servers and not the client, no?

Spark is pushing reliably for me. They must use an IMAP keep alive from their AWS servers to your iCloud account. Whatever iOS uses for Push, it's not working.

Correct as does the Outlook app. IMAP-IDLE does reduce battery capacity a bit but for now its worth it.

my 6s on 9.3.3 push notifications for iCloud work just fine.

So it's a iOS 10 issue?

This may replace the native app for me.

So I'm wondering if you receive mail and a badge appears on iOS and you read that mail on the mac, does it automatically remove the badge or depreciate the badge count on iOS?

It should since it uses IMAP idle.

And if so I might just use it as well

I haven't given that a shot yet, but if/when I do I'll be sure to update.

It worked fine again last night which led me to think it was fixed, but today it's not pushing again. Over a week now. Not good.

I've also installed Spark to use in the meantime...

You get notifications from both. From my experience if I read the email in spark, when i open the mail app it doesn't show as new mail. It is there but shows as 'read'

I'm not talking about iCloud mail. I'm talking about spark
Yes in most cases Spark has updated the badge count when read in another mail client. But its because Apple does not use IMAP IDLE in their iOS mail app where Spark does.

I don't know if this seems to be getting worse or I'm just now noticing this; I manually open Mail app and check mail, then an hour later I get my iCloud emails in my inbox marked as 2-3 hours old (from email time stamp). So it seems even manually opening the Mail app and checking mail isn't enough to receive my iCloud email. WTF

Have you tried to delete the native app and reinstall it from the app store? I've done and it seems that now reach mails correctly, but it may be temporary ... Now it works, I will update if it fails

I'm not sure this works. Delays have been fixed for about 6 hours here.

Not here. Woke up with 0 email notifications. Checked my inbox, had 7 emails. Starting from midnight last night. So 7 hours didn't get pushed.
