Ah ok. I guess push for iCloud email is occasionally working for me, and the latest instance it worked I was on wifi.

Frustrating! People on twitter are suggesting to enable fetch every 15 min., that'll drain battery life though!

Its occasionally working for everyone. It works for 10 minutes, then nothing for 8 hours. Then up for 6 hours, then nothing for 5.

Made some noise on twitter about it, hope it adds to the voices calling for help.

It's kinda funny to contrast with the push for my other email accounts (Yahoo, Exchange) which are working beautifully.

Glad I came here to learn about the news, I was about to reset my network settings, remove and reinstall email accounts...

Left a voicemail for my senior advisor on Friday that I have the requested phone diagnostics done but haven't heard back. I'll send him an email tonight if I don't hear back today. Kinda itching to get my diagnostic file over to engineering ASAP.
[doublepost=1477328887][/doublepost]Wonder if the just released 10.1 update does anything. Updating my 7 now.

I tweeted Tim Cook too. It's time the media reports on this failure. I was a paying MobileMe customer that had to migrate to iCloud. iCloud is part of the price of buying an iPhone. Our me.com/iCloud.com email address was paid for therefore Apple is on the hook to fix it.
They know their push servers are failures. All that dialogue download bs is stall tactics! Been through this before.....identical response from them.

AppleSupport on twitter is responding and asked for info on what happened, will see if they can do anything.

To be clear, push is working for all else right? Yahoo mail, etc? It's been working for my Yahoo email so far but now I'm paranoid that other parts of my email isn't working.

Other emails are fine, but app notifications are off as well. Visual Voicemail has a huge delay.

I've been the twitter route with Apple. Most times it's just low level suppprt people. I've sent some additional info to WSJ and some of the TV business networks. They usually report on tech issues.

Yeah I'm not holding my breath for any breakthroughs from contacting Apple support on twitter. I just wanted this to get more exposure within the ranks at Apple. It's almost like there's positive radio silence on this from Apple which has left us all in the dark about it.

Interestingly, it's not pushing iCloud email for me when it's a reply to a previously sent email/thread. It CAN push to iCloud -- cellular or Wifi --- when it's a brand new email out of the blue.

Perhaps the new implementation of threaded emails in iOS 10 is contributing to the issue?

FWIW, neither replies nor new emails are being pushed for me.

Their push servers are a mess. The bigger problem is their denial of any problem....all senior advisors state the company line "this is the first time I'm hearing about this"
Just like Samsung denying any problem with their battery on note 7. They were caught by their exec email saying to stall the customer.

AppleSupport on twitter asked if I had restarted the phone, I did and replies to threaded emails are being pushed to my phone. At least for now.

BTW, before restarting I had icloud.com open on my desktop and emails were showing up there right away but not being pushed to the icloud account on my phone when it was set to cellular only but would push when wifi only.

So the icloud email is being received by the account, it's something strange going on with the way icloud is getting pushed to the phone.

(I realize this may be redundant).

I don't know if this is a separate issue, but on rare occasion I'm getting "the message was rejected by the server" when I try to send emails...

...right now it *seems* that iCloud is pushing while on wifi OR cellular, but I don't know how long it'll last...

Unless something has changed, iOS 9.x is also experiencing this problem so we can dispel the thread theory. Yes to 1) getting iCloud emails on mac or mail client non-iOS, and on iOS apps NOT native mail app. Email push comes from the Apple servers used for that function.

Please read through the thread in order to see what has already been discovered and dispelled. This helps keep thread clean and will help save your sanity, lol. This IS CLEARLY an Apple push service issue. Nothing else you may or may not be doing is the culprit or the fix. This is solely on Apple.

Had another senior advisor contact me today and went through a whole bunch of testing, took the better part of an hour. He had me change notifications settings and when he started sending me test emails, they came in while screen was locked but not when it was unlocked. He was convinced it was a notification issue.

I pressed him that I don't think it is as the behaviour over the past couple of weeks suggests otherwise. He then sent me more test emails, some came in instantly while others didn't, whether the screen was locked or not, so he deemed it "intermittent".

He had me forward a few screen shots of my settings and said he's going to forward all the notes to engineering. He suspects what might happen next is they could install a profile on my phone and run it for a couple of days then generate a diagnostics report. The battle continues.
