I just noticed that it's not working for me, but there are a few posts on the Dev -Team blog that says it NOT jailbreak related - perhaps a problem with 3.0.

Pwnage worked great over here. Fully functional original EDGE iPhone now on 3.0, previously unlocked (via Quickpwn) and running 2.2. Youtube works, no problems. Running iTunes 8.2 the whole way through.
No tethering or MMS, though... those hacks don't seem to do anything for the EDGE iPhone.
EDIT: My weather app isn't working either... but who uses it anyway? TWC is way more functional and detailed.

Anyone else feel a little underwhelmed with 3.0? Sure, copy and paste is nice, but overall it doesn't feel any different. Am I missing something?
I thought I was... but I accidentally clicked "yes" to "has your phone been pwned before" (it has been), so I had to do it myself... I'm going to try again and click no so I'm walked through it.

Awesome work by the dev team. Worked like a charm on my wife's 1st gen which is now unlocked to Orange in the UK.
Did it on my unibody MBP with the latest version of iTunes and went without a single hitch

well just finished pwning my 2g iphone into 3.0 OS
In the begining, itunes never recognize my iphone and the error (1600) appeared, cause it was in DFU. So i reboot the iphone, plug it into my mac and just hit option+restore. And job done xD
So if the error 1600 keeps appear just dont put the iphone into DFU and hit option+restore+custom firmware.

if you get error 1600, go to ~/Library/iTunes/Device Support" on your Mac and see if there are files in there - if there are, delete them, and then re-run pwnage.

Okay, I can get my new software update built, I even entered DFU mode just fine. But every time it connects to iTunes, I get a message saying that "iTunes needs to check for updates to identify your iphone device. check or cancel are my only options. if i cancel, i don't get into the restore options. if i check, it errors out and still doesn't give me update options.

I upgraded to 3.0 absolutely no problems. On OSX 10.5.7, iTunes 8.2. Opened pwnage, set to expert mode, left all settings default, built the custom IPSW, opened iTunes once phone in DFU mode, clicked restore, chose custom IPSW file, jailbroke 2G phone.
Only problem I ran into was me being a klux getting it into DFU mode the first time, other than that it wasn't an issue.
Location services work, haven't tried youtube (don't really use it much at all).

I Jailbroke my 2.2.1 before many times using quickpwn. I figured I could handle the JB of 3.0 so I downloaded the torrent file from the dev-team blog but what the heck do I do with that .dmg file? Any help?
