Pwnage Tool 2.0.3: FAQ and TUTORIAL For Unlocking/Jailbreaking iPhone [MAC][WINDOWS!]

You have to select "update baseband" "Unlock" and "Neuter Baseband" for BootNeuter to appear (make sure you DO NOT select auto-delete BootNeuter!).
If you didn't select those then it won't appear.
You have to make a new custom firmware with those options and then when the phone starts it will automatically neuter your baseband and unlock you and then reboot.
Then you can start BootNeuter manually and relock and turn everything off and change your bootloader if you need to then restore and yourl be back to factory state.
Read the first page of the FAQ again as you clearly did not take it all in!

i think i just broke my iPhone. i was following the steps on page 1. i clicked "browse .ipsw", selected the 1.1.4 file, then i clicked "iPwner", and then put the phone into recovery mode.
i got the text messages on the phone, and it said that my phone was restarting.
but i never got the updated logos. in fact, i haven't seen anything on the screen since. nothing happens when i hit the home button. or the top button.
when i plug it into my computer, it says that the SIM card is locked and iTunes can't do anything with it.
what can i do?

This WinPwn is disabled for unlocking. So if you were looking to unlock, WinPwn is not yet ready for that.
EDIT - You can use a firmware IPSW file created on the Mac Pwnage with WinPwn. If you have a friend with a Mac create the firmware unlocked there and transfer it to your Windows PC with a USB or your iPod in disk mode....
As for iPwner, it worked. Just use IPWS Builder to create a customized IPSW and then you will see the custom boot-up images
You didn't break your phone.
If you can't figure it out just restore using iTunes.
You may have to use DFU mode.

Pwnage is 100% fixable and reversible - its just a question of patience and timing to get the recovery mode!

well, now it saw it in recovery mode. i'm restoring it to the custom 1.1.4. that's what i'm supposed to do, right?
If you are running Windows, then it's your Windows Administrator password or if you are using Mac it's your Mac user password.
BootNeuter is AUTOMATICALLY INSTALLED on the Mac version IF you check unlock/neuter bootloader.

It took me 18 minutes the whole process, which means anyone doing BootNeuter, PLEASE DO NOT INTERRUPT the process even though it seems to take forever.

I would avoid touching the screen at all while BootNeuter is running - you don't want to risk knocking the phones buttons or accidently exiting BootNeuter so set it auto-lock NEVER! but if BootNeuter runs as part of pwnage the first time you boot (which it will if you select unlock) don't worry about it as it doesn't seem to lock the screen.

I have pwnaged my phone, only issue I had was it not working cos my OTB phone didn't seem to have the 1.4 firmware on
So did a restore thorough Itunes and it worked. The only question I have is that I wanted to put on new Boot and Recovery images like it suggests. Now I made these up in photoshop on windows. I made them PNG, created an alpha channel and made sure they were the right size. But when I tried to pic them it said they were an invalid png file Is it because I had nothing actually on the alpha channel or something else? And I assume if I want those images I will have to restore the phone on the custom firmware again?

You have to create them as new Transparent images 320x480. Once you finish the picture must be less than 100kb.
I have been reading about the pwnage tool to unlock the iphone for the past two days, however i am worried that i will not be able to do it. I would say i am pretty good with a computer MAC or PC but am concerned about this Custom Firmware. I have done a number of searches on here hackintosh and other sites but no-one suggests how easy it is. Is it straight forward. Everytime i read something else i chop and change between using LibertyX and Pwnage. I would be doing it on a MAC by the way.

ZiPhone bricked my friend's iPhone. Tried using Pwnage Tool. It loaded the pineapple image but that's about it. Itunes can't load the custom 1.1.4 firmware restore.
Is there a way to fix this?
If not, is there a way to get rid of the annoying pineapple and russian Jobs? It shouldn't have been turned on by default.

After having the BL neutered and Unlock active will updating to other firmwares keep the unlock?
Example:
Imagine n1.1.5 comes out.
Can we simply hit upgrade on iTunes with Apple's 1.1.5 Firmware, and BootNeuter will take care of unlocking the baseband? Or will we still need to use PWNage Tool to PWN firmware 1.1.5 and use BootNeuter then to unlock?

i have a very important question to you guys. I have windows unfortunately and since winpwn is in beta i dont trust it. If i just jailbreak and activate my phone with ziphone(no chance to brick) and unlock using bootneuter? Would it change the bootloader and make it unhealthy too? I guess only unlocking messes with the bootloader. So as soon as i don't mess with the unlock feature of the ziphone i can use it right? I am really scared to use winpwn Beta since it has a chance to brick my phone. And since i live in an unsupported country i can't go and get a new one from store for free. So what are your suggestions?

This is the file name to search on google, just get bittorent reader and you will have 2.0. I isn't that great, I couldn't activate my att cell account.

i am still waiting for an answetr because it is important. I have to unlock soon. My question is;
- I am scared that Winpwn will have a problem with my iPhone since it is only beta. And i want to just jailbreak-active with ziphone, than unlock with bootneuter in the installer. Will that mess with my phone(previous ones unlocked with Ziphone were messed up since their bootloaders were downgraded to 3.9). Or just active/jailbreak with Ziphone and unlock with bootneuter is reasonable? Which one do yıou think i should. I am not going to use Winpwn until it's full release, it has a chance to brick it forever. So, i am impatiantly waiting for your advices and guide.
