Just tried it and yes it works... my next projekt is to make the fan less noisy.

Ha ha my asus 4870 just died.... the fan stopped working before even trying to mod the fan speed! I found out to late that the asus card is very famous for dying after a couple of days.

Yes i managed to flash it back i had like 1 minute in atiflash so i had to hurry before the card was up to 124 c and crashed.
So i have returned it and got the money back.
Now i only have an unuseble 4890 vapor-x perhaps time to sell it. and get a more compatible card.. any suggestions

Your rom is the same as this one.
I think you gave up too soon on your 4890.
Flash it in dos with the rom from the post.
You already installed the Dual DVI Fix for 10.6.3.
Download Zeus and update it to the latest version.
Install the exotic card stuff with Zeus included for 10.6.3.
Maybe remove Natit if present.
Put the beast in slot one and pray...
If it doesn't work sell it to someone who is happy with just PC functionality...

Just to be sure I made a rom from your 4890 bin file.
So install dual dvi for 10.6.3. ( Which you did for the 4870 )
Install the latest 10.6.3 drivers for exotic cards install.
Flash card with the rom from this post.
Probably best to remove natit.
Put the card solo in the first slot.
Attach 1 monitor.
And tell me if it worked ;-)

I bought it on thuesday 4 of May, this week, and it takes me over 30 hours to find out what was going wrong and to perform the flash, but now everything is running and the card rocks !
I can now finally go to have a shower and shave my face !
I did not gave up, and finally got results I was awaiting !
