RemakeI played it already on my Gamecube back in 2005.
Is this a full on remake of the original, or just a port with enhanced graphics? $60 is a lot more bearable if it’s a full remake, I suppose. Still a hard sell for me though, even if I can play it on my iPhone and Mac.
Phone was 2099 Euro. The game runs on switch too with 4GB ram. M1 doesnt support ray tracing. The market cap is an indicator of investor's confidence for the future.
No iPhone surpasses a $1799 MSRP.
The game is for iPhones with ray tracing & 8GB RAM.
Why are you all mad about? Don't you already have a gaming PC or console already?
The game's for anyone who does not own a gaming PC & console.
Usually they come with perks like beta access, play 3 days early, in game currency and things like cosmetics or guns, etc.Can someone explain to me the point of pre ordering a digital download?
The version on the Switch is based on the 2005 original game, the version on the iPhone is based on the 2023 remake.Phone was 2099 Euro. The game runs on switch too with 4GB ram. M1 doesnt support ray tracing.
It’s some apple decision to push their iphone 15p sales but I think this will backfire. Normally game publishers are interested to reach as many potential buyers as possible. Apple does their apple way which IMO will not work with games.
market cap is phantasy powered by (cheap) money. Not seldom even bankrupt companies skyrocket. Value can change any time. From FOMO to panic. FED printed trillions of dollars, now they stopped and we see a sliding market.
How about access to 500 times as many potential customers?Otherwise, what's in it for developers?
Then let the developers optimize the code and make the game 30% more ram efficient. Reduce resolution a bit. Whatever. But it’s not about the game it’s about promoting the 15p.The version on the Switch is based on the 2005 original game, the version on the iPhone is based on the 2023 remake.
If it was a brand new game not a now year old remake of an already really old game I’m guessing you wouldn’t see these bad responses. That’s the issue here with the price in this specific case.Frauds willing to spend $1100+ on a new iPhone every year but not $60 for good games, and then they wonder why the only games on iOS are freemium “games” full of in app purchases and ads
That's revenue not units sold. The majority of gamers still care about physical as the majority of game sales on Nintendo Switch and PS4/5 are physical.

PlayStation's physical game revenues surge to new four-year high in holiday 2022
Sony made more from physical PlayStation game sales revenues in holiday 2022 than they have in the last four years as games unit hits all-time Q3 record.www.tweaktown.com
Pls provide number of units sold of physical vs digital. It's a different story on PC as thanks to Apple essentially killing disc drives on PCs with the late 2012 iMac and Macbook Airs we don't have physical copies anymore when in the past even with Steam being around we still had lots of physical PC games.
As you pointed out those are niche. If that were true they wouldn't be teaming up with companies like Limited Run to do physical retail copies of smaller more niche titles.
Pls provide number of units sold of physical vs digital.Again...majority of game sales on PS4/5 and Nintendo Switch being physical beg to differ. The only platform where your "consumer behavior" statement holds true is Xbox, but that's not from digital game sales but primarily Game Pass subscriptions. It's why everytime a new game comes to Xbox the first question is always "is it day one on Game Pass?"
It isnt about barbarism it's laziness. And instant gratification. Why wait for overnight shipping when I can have the game platform just download it on a 1Gbps fiber connection that is slowly being deployed worldwide.Ah yes...digital is certainly more convenient. Playing a game by just putting in a disc?! How barbaric! It's a lot more convenient just searching for a game on the digital store and waiting hours for it to download.
Again, I am writing from the perspective of the business and not a vintage gamer.
And this isn't even factoring in the fact eventually said console storefront WILL close, meaning all those digital games are gone with no way to buy them or in some cases no longer downloadable, while the physical owners can just put the game in and go even long after the store shuts down.
Even if that is misleading it is more than 50% in 2022.According to that ERA report 30% of that was free to play mobile games, so I think the numbers are a little misleading in that report, especially given the numbers physical copies of Nintendo games do.
Untapped market of nearly 5 billion iPhone & Android users. How about access to 500 times as many potential customers?
I think they'll succeed.Phone was 2099 Euro. The game runs on switch too with 4GB ram. M1 doesnt support ray tracing.

At $60 no one with a gaming PC or console will buy that on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

$/£400-odd dollars is money saved on a literal 1-trick-pony.I welcome this. Yes, the price is steep but the universal app that works across A17/M1+ Apple devices offers a good deal of flexibility. Add in the ability to use a USB-to-DP cable and "dock" an iOS device into a gaming monitor and you've got an interesting prospect. Yes, a lot of people will have a PS5/Xbox Series console, but there will also be a lot of people who still have a PS4/XBox One generation console and thus no access to some of these games. If (and it's a big if at this stage), more and more of these games come to iOS then these people would have the choice to not drop $/£400-odd dollars on a new console in favour of a Apple device they would buy or have anyway.
Lot's of reasons this approach could fail, not least Apple losing interest. I get the feeling Apple splashed a bit of cash to encourage Capcom to port the RE games.
That's one of the attractions of the Switch. Also, people who want to play it on the go.
I've got a 15 Pro Max on the way, but there's no way I'm considering $60 for a mobile game with touch controls that I can get for cheaper and/or play better on the PS5 or Switch (and in some cases, desktop Mac). This whole "play console games on your phone" thing seems nuts to me.
If I am not mistaken iOS, iPadOS & macOS allows for use of Xbox, Playstation and Switch controllers. So they can get the real deal controllers rather than what was used on the Titanic Sub.I have a feeling that controllers like these will sell like hotcakes now.
