Evreytime a major setting is changed the bug is gone for a while only to come back in a few hours.

Haven’t noticed any stutter at all with a system up time of 7 hours and pretty heavy use over the past 2-3 hours. 16.2b1 seems solid

Update: seeing the stutter occasionally now

Once again here we go… it’s fixed then. I thought it could be this:

Expanded 120Hz ProMotion Support

On devices that support ProMotion, Apple says that SwiftUI animated layout changes will support a 120Hz refresh rate, functionality that was previously missing

16.1 + no-search hack seems to have helped! Today is the first morning I'm seeing zero stutter! Will report back if that changes

Edit: it's back, although minor

Has anyone tried a full restore to see if it fixes the issue? I don’t plan on switching to a beta unless the issue is completely resolved, and from the sound of it, it is not.

I guess this also explain why gaming always stutters. I try playing Genshin on an iPhone 14 pro max and it would just constantly stutter.

Try turning off Background App Refresh. I turned it off, rebooted, and it hasn’t stuttered since. This was a few days ago. My sister also has a 14 pro max and has always had background app refresh off. She has never experienced this stutter. May have discovered the culprit here.

Update: ah, after nearly 4 days of perfect animations, it started stuttering today even with BAR turned off. Not sure why my sister’s device exhibits no stutter. Maybe she is just less sensitive to it.
