So what’s the consensus on this?

14 pro here and just noticed the occasional stutter/pause when swiping out of the apps. Guess I’ll wait for 16.2 if that solves it?
Report to Apple by feedback assistant or by the link provided in this thread. This is a universal issue.

Some people recognize it faster or it appears immediately due to a combination of apps and settings. That’s the difference.

I honestly don't think Apple knows how to fix this issue. I've just turned off the animations completely until they figure out how to solve this.

Apple knows how to solve the problem. Solution is a increase RAM but Apple manufacturing chips for more than one generation ahead. Apple just need to consume old chips before increase.

Haven’t seen any lag or stuttering on my 14PM nor my previous 13PM nor has my wife on her 12. Not a universal problem, other than this thread I’ve seen no mention of it. Seems to be specific to the affected users.

I think this has something to do with a specific setting. I've had my iPhone 14 pro max for a while and never seen a stutter with closing applications. Ive seen many stutters elsewhere on the device, but not from that. Does anyone have a video of it?

Wow that’s very apparent. I’ve never seen anything like that on my phone.
Exactly, and on 16.1 RC it would happen consistently and with every app close after leaving the phone on for 3-4 hours; Safari tabs also reloaded after using another app momentarily. 16.1 public was better and 16.2b1 makes this an occasional thing but it’s still there.

I’ve only ever seen that if I don’t make a complete swipe up, or if for some reason I swipe too slowly. A quick firm swipe or a swipe to the center of my screen, I’ve got the 14PM so it requires a longer finger motion to get to the halfway point of the screen, always results in a smooth transition to the Home Screen. I’ve always figured that it’s as if the motion isn’t being interpreted properly when I don’t do it smoothly. As long as my motion is smooth and quick enough the response on the screen is Smooth as butter. But I occasionally do have a shaky finger:)

It’s there for you too, do you see? As I said, it’s universal.

Mine is too but it’s not fixed. A very trustworthy user in this thread saw the issue this morning after 3 days.

It shouldn't be that much. On the 13 Pro Max it doesn't happen and everything is smooth and I close apps in the same way. I have already said that I have called support and they have numerous reports of this bug and I am aware of it so it is clear that it is a UNIVERSAL problem and they are iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max! It is useless to deny or say that the problem does not exist. It exists and is for everyone.

Numerous reports do not translate into a universal problem. Easy to say it's universal when you simply reject anyone who has said they haven't seen it after extensive use. It's a bogus argument.

As you can see and read those who said they didn't have it now say that they actually have the bug but that they close the apps in a different way to not see it. I haven't heard a person tell me they don't have it. Everyone I know has this bug and I'm talking to you about at least 40/50 people not to mention the Telegram group where I am where there are practically ALL (a group of 2000 people) the owners of the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max who claim to have the bug. Apple itself confirmed this to me when I called for support.
