My problem with 16.2 beta 1 is that apparently you can't swipe out of the camera when opening it from the lock screen. And that's one of my main uses for the iPhone. If that's broken, it would be hugely annoying to me. So I'll have to skip this beta.
Haha just tried that and you’re right. I never do that so I hadn’t noticed before. There will probably be another release today.

Still no animation stutter on 16.3B1 since I installed it on Thursday.

My phone is on 16.1 and it’s the same. I can only swipe up to get back to the Lock Screen. Cannot swipe sideways. I rarely ever do this anyway so I don’t remember when this might have changed.

No, it seems that on 16.2 beta 1 you cannot even swipe up to get back to the lock screen. No swiping at all. You need to lock the phone again and start over.

Ah, good thing I’m staying on 16.1, even though that’s not a scenario I would normally see.

Same issue as you guys: stutter on my 14 Pro Max on iOS 6.1
It's random, sometimes it stutters, sometimes it doesn't, some apps do, some don't...

Is iOS 16.2 B1 stable enough for a everyday use?

Is anyone using a live background such as the weather or earth ones on 16.1 or 16.2? I found with a non-live background the stutter goes away.

My experience: after installing iOS 16.2 Beta 1, the suttter was gone for several days. As expected, it showed up again but now it occurs sporadically. It isn’t fixed yet but Apple made some changes that affected it, probably related to promotion.

Same here, back after a while but much better now.

Sometimes we really have to pay attention to see a rapid, faster stutter. On the feedback menu, Apple states it’s still an open issue. It’s still here, showing up sporadically, but, overall, for the moment being, it’s almost gone. And after all it seems like a 120hz issue and not a ram memory management bug.

So you're saying the issue seems to be fixed in 16.2?

Hello everyone. After reading a lot of messages I decided to create account and write something about this bug. Before iPhone 14PM I had iPhone XR and this bug was also on the older phone (from iOS14). I was pretty sure that it was caused by old-XR chip, but I was very worried when I got 14PM and bug appeared. I’m trying my best to remove this bug but everything I do - it disappoints. So, I heard that stuttering animations may be caused by bad RAM memory management so I decided to remove unused apps (and disable animations in accessibility) but this solution is not helpful (lag no longer exist, but when I switch between apps it happens). Next - I called Apple Support and I was told to do “fresh install” with restoring iCloud data - it helped for a couple of hours - what’s interesting when I do hard reset it also helps but also for a couple of hours sooo maybe there is error caused by bad memory management? I’m not sure it can be true because as developer I’m aware, that if it could be true - everyone would experience this bug. There is last thing I want to do - I want to do fresh install without restoring iCloud storage, because maybe there is our problem? Maybe some iCloud data is broken and this is causing lagging animations? But before doing this - has anyone done a clean install of iOS16 without restoring any iCloud data? I am curious if this problem occurs on clean iOS16 without 3rd apps. Please, let's all get involved to eliminate this problem. Some of users are reporting that iOS16.2 fixed it - can anyone more people confirm this?

Of course, everything has been tried - without success.

I’ve been reading all your messages since the 1st page (now we are at 15th). I registered a new account to reply and confirm that beta1 of 16.2 fixes the issue. I have it installed for a few days now. I’ve seen stuttering once or twice but it’s like 99% solved. And I’m confident to say that, because I also tried everything and I’m aware that this issue comes back after some time. Now I can finally enjoy using my new iPhone :) maybe apart from the bug in iOS 16.2 beta that you can’t close camera app with a swipe gesture, but I’m sure it will be fixed in an official release, or maybe a next beta.

99% is not enough for me! I want the problem 100% solved!

I went to the Apple store today to test all the iPhone14 pro and iPhone14 pro max demonstration phones, all the phones are fine without any lag issues. . .

I don't know if it has something to do with the network connection, but when the connection (WIFI or Cellular wireless network) is weak, the stuttering problem is significantly exacerbated, and close the opening applications can help.

That may be why I’ve never noticed this on my 14 PM. The only time I’ve ever seen any hesitation in going back to the Home Screen is when I don’t make good contact with the screen and wind up just doing a little flick with the very end of my finger and the app kinda stays between open and closed briefly. But it’s always obvious to me why it happened and had happened occasionally with previous phones in the same way.
