Did you guys see that MacRumors has acknowledged our issue?

“Alongside the fix for the Wi-Fi bug, Apple could address long-standing complaints from users since ‌iOS 16‌'s launch in September, including reports of battery drain, slow Spotlight search, and laggy animations on iPhone 14 Pro models when swiping out of apps. For new features, iOS 16.1.1 could include Emergency SOS via Satellite for iPhone 14and ‌iPhone 14 Pro‌ models.”
But when they say "could", is it just rampant speculation or do they actually know something? If they don't have any info that the rest of us have, they might just as easily change the word "could" to "will hopefully".

Apple has already given a heads up about what's coming in updates this month. Enabling Emergency SOS and fixing an advertising related bug, most likely in reference to 16.1.1. These two things were officially mentioned by Apple.

They've said nothing about Wi-Fi or animations so that part is speculation.

Yes, it's speculation. But it's the first time MacRumors mentions it. I don't think iOS 16.2 Beta 2 will fiz the issue since stuttering remain on playing games according to others users.

Seems like it must be a low priority for Apple.

After looking in the beta thread it seems the new 16.2 beta is worse than ever. Several reports of scrolling stutter inside apps and on the home screen. Hopefully they're looking in to the performance.

Thank you for the information. I wonder what Steve Jobs would think about this iOS bullshi*. Apple is certainly losing it premium quality. Their greatest triumph is that they don't really have any real competitor. I confess I'm not corageous enough to buy a Samsung phone, let alone a Google or Xiaomi one.

Why do you keep the devices if you have such a low opinion of them?

I dont have such a low opinion about Apple. Ive bought every and each iphones since 2000. Ive only got a major issue this year with Iphone 14 Pro Max. I restate that apple cant afford to make such mistakes with a U$1300,00 smartphone.

I agree. I don't have the stutter in the swipe up animation, but I have stutter in almost every game I play. Also scrolling stutters in some apps. My old iPhone 7 Plus runs smoother. How is Apple okay with that?

I normally beta test to give feedback but not this time... theres a new lag introduced in 16.2 beta 2 that is so bad when swiping on the home screen, ive gone back to 16.1.1. Cant deal with that for 1 hour let alone 1-2 weeks until apple fixes it.

This has been an issue in virtually all devices for 2 years….apple isn’t gonna fix it. Sometimes it’s smooth as butter. Other times there’s a weird lag/delay. This broke in iOS 14. When iPhone X, XR, XS were new everything was SMOOOTH. In fact XR was the smoothest device on iOS 12 I ever used
do a clean flash of iOS it will solve the issue. Most issues with iOS comes because of upgrading from one version to the next version. i always completely flash my iPhone when i go to the Next iOS Version. im using DFU mode instead of Recovery Mode and then instead of upgrade i choose Restore. Be aware that it will delete everything on the Phone
