Looks like loads of sites are hosting my images claiming them as my own.

Enjoy them guys - I made them for us, the users, not those thieving scumbag sites... Apart from 2 who sought permission of course.

I wanted a Carl Sagan wallpaper, so I did my best with my total lack of knowledge to convert a small illustration of him I found into a retina-sized wallpaper.

Same thing happened to me last year. Decided to get an enforceable copyright to take care of that. ;)

Great work there!
 
Something I've noticed. All of the .jpg files i downloaded have a bit of a lag when displaying the photos, it take about a second for the picture to become clear. Compared to .png files that don't have that problem.

That's because they've been saved as progressive JPGs, which isn't a good things anymore. Progressive JPGs save multiple quality settings into each file and will load the lowest one first, then on through to the highest one. This is why it seems like the picture starts fuzzy and then clears up. This also makes the file larger than it needs to be. PNGs have this option as well, but its usually not used.

I would have assumed this, but for most images I've found that progressive JPEGs actually use less space, when using the "Save for Web" option in Photoshop.
 
I've searched long and hard for a SD Chargers wallpaper in hi-res. Help would be much appreciated.
 
Image Conversion

Would someone be able to convert this image into New iPad Retina Display wallpapers? This is one of my favorites. Also if you are super skilled or ambitoius, perhaps you could make a version that includes the new X (for A5X chip).

Thanks ahead of time if someone can do it!!!!

I'm interested in an A5X chip wallpaper, too (just without that ugly blue tint).

Have you got a link to the original full sized image? The one you have posted is too small to do much with.
