Would someone be able to convert this image into New iPad Retina Display wallpapers? This is one of my favorites. Also if you are super skilled or ambitoius, perhaps you could make a version that includes the new X (for A5X chip).

Thanks ahead of time if someone can do it!!!!

I'd also be interested in this. If you can somehow find the original creator of that image then maybe we can ask him if he has it in a higher resolution? Try to find the creator and we'll start from there.

Got so many great images here, felt I should reciprocate.

Two great moon images, Aldrin as the lock screen and the moon surface as the home screen look terrific.

Two more contributions. I made neither, credit to those who did. The vibrant colors really pop on the The New iPad.

RIP, Steve.

The image wasn't big enough, it's not as simple as just making it bigger as the iPad can do that itself and it looks crap,

still, I liked the idea (even though it looks nothing like the insides of an actual iPad) so I got to work, I managed to stumble across the original circuit board image on google while looking for a suitable replacement, turns out on its own it was plenty big enough, so a while later after some photoshopping I ended up with these...

Hope you like them.

Amazing job! Thanks so much for taking the time to find the original background. I would love to make my own customized version also. :)

Before there was Apple, there was Apple.

Wow! Thanks. Can you make the "X" more aligned with the A and the 5? Otherwise, you are a God. :D Thanks!

(I attached what I mean by more aligned. The X seems a bit higher than the A and the 5 in your rendition.)

Oh i see what you mean, that's odd, i didn't make the text, thats a photograph of the actual chip.. don't know why it looked like that...

I've fixed the links in the original post to updated versions that are now in line.

Whats those white lines over and under the a5x chip.

It really doesn't fit with the rest of the grey/black look.

If u look on the ipad from a distance its really noticeable and gets your attention

If anyone can tint those white boxes to a darker color to minimize their impact, free box of Girl Scout cookies is yours.

blended them in better with the surrounding colour - I'll take those cookies!

I'm going to bed now, so if anyone points out anything else, it'll have to wait until morning, unless someone else does it.

You rock. The Thin Mints are yours.

Guys do you know that whatever jpeg images you post in retina resolution will be resized by webkit in safari iOS?

Please save your retina wallpaper or images in either png format or progressive jpeg images to avoid resizing for those viewing on their iPads!

Check out John Grubers post on this for more details!

This has already been discussed multiple times. Regardless of how Safari shows the image, it will still download the jpg at full resolution.

In that vein, is there a free iPad app that shows an image's resolution?
