Awesome! I was torn between that and blue. I got blue for me and black for the wife.Went with white!

And I had 2 Maxes. Returned them and got an X. I live in the middle of NH and could not deal with the lack of consistency with cellular connectivity. So far the X is amazingly better.I’d rather keep my X than get the Xr. I’ve ordered the max though.
So as suspected Apple still has not addressed the wonky connectivity with the new Xs’s. SMH. I’m shocked there isn’t more noise about it. My Xs Max was having weird connectivity issues too.And I had 2 Maxes. Returned them and got an X. Blue 128 ordered. BOOM!
So after owning a Xs Max I have decided that I am going to return it and wait for the Xr.
The reasons why you might ask...
I can think of 6 great reasons.
1. PWM sensitivity
2. Blue shift
3. Image persistence/retention
4. Battery efficiency
5. Reception issues
6. Saving $
Just wondering who else is following suit?
I will have 14 days to confirm this but prefer to save my money for next iPhone generation which will hopefully offer a new design (notchless??), much better camera, etc.. indeed this is just my view.
#3 IS an issue, and was an issue for me... Have a good evening.Don’t know about the rest, but 3. is a non issue.

It definitely won’t be notchless.

Screen burn in hasn’t been an issue on Samsung OLED screens for a good few years now. Then you got what’s technically known in the industry as “a dud”
Never saw even a hint of IR on any of our Xs in the studio. Of course, that’s in regular use, not using test patterns and stuff.
Where did you see IR? In what situation?
Everyone seems to think that the XR is the phone for those that can’t afford the XS. For me, affordability isn’t a problem, but the price for a 256gb XS is £1,149. That is just mental. 64gb isn’t enough so the 256gb is the viable option. Just, no.
The 128gb XR comes in at £799 - that’s £350 less. For that, you lose zoom functionality, a true bookah camera effect and a OLED screen. Big whoop di do, basil. The screen resolution issue is a complete red herring - you have to be within about 4 foot of a 50” tv to see the difference between 1080p and 4K and the same thing applies here; unless your shoving your eye to it or deliberately zooming to an absurd degree for any practical purpose, there is a nominal difference. Yes blacks and deeper on the oled but who the hell has ever said “hmm the blacks just aren’t deep enough on my phone”. I’ll save that for, ya know, a TV.
The big difference with the screen is the HDR - that does indeed make a difference so the XR will always look slightly worse. But I’ll take the purportedly better battery any day of the week.
It's like downgrade from a premium phone to budget phone LMAO......
Screen retention is still an issue, but you're right that burn in isn't. The retention bothers some people I suppose. I got used to it, but never liked it on the S series Samsung phones.Screen burn in hasn’t been an issue on Samsung OLED screens for a good few years now.
Its because they spent 1000+ dollars...on a phone.I’m not sure why people say this, because it’s entirely untrue.
Even at £750 its unacceptable.I couldn't do without 3D touch for one; secondly I feel that the iPhone XR's relatively low resolution for a 2018 phone is unacceptable.
I want to be able to watch full HD movies on a phone that expensive.
You'd be better off with an iPhone 8 plus then. After the black pillars are added to compensate for the notch, videos display natively larger on the plus.I couldn't do without 3D touch for one; secondly I feel that the iPhone XR's relatively low resolution for a 2018 phone is unacceptable.

You people do realize that Apple is phasing out 3D Touch in lieu of what the Xr comes with right? There’s articles all over about it. So in a sense the Xr is even a step ahead of the Xs.I couldn't do without 3D touch for one; secondly I feel that the iPhone XR's relatively low resolution for a 2018 phone is unacceptable.

They might be doing that. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.You people do realize that Apple is phasing out 3D Touch in lieu of what the Xr comes with right? There’s articles all over about it. So in a sense the Xr is even a step ahead of the Xs.
I assume they’ll use the same “Haptic Touch” that is on the Xr.How would that work with no 3D touch and the Apple Watch? I doubt it's going anywhere soon.
They're doing it mainly because people don't like it. It's easier and cheaper to replace it with Haptic. They might be doing that. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.
