ridiculous delay from 7200 rpm HD

hmm.

The MBP's that have actually been shipped seem to be the 2.2ghz ones. Whereas everyone getting 'prepared for shipping' only now has a 2.4ghz. Does anyone have a 2.4 that's already shipped to prove me wrong?

Maybe they prioritized the 2.2's for some reason...
 
I was just reading this thread, looked at my order status, and there was no update. Then I logged in again, viewed order status, and it seems that there was a forced logout. Now it says...

Well I didn't select any special options, so I assume I have "standard" shipping... didn't actually see an option at the time though, do all countries get the same choice?

Either way it's a week between my shipped and delivered estimates so it's almost certainly not a fast/guaranteed service.

That's fine with me - I'm impatient, but I'm not technically in a hurry to get it yet!
 
Great ! good to see someone else from the UK shipping.

But you ordered 10 days before mine. Still weird how the order queue seems scattered. Its like they have a load of orders and pick them out of a hat and then go and make them :D

Ah! quite a conundrum: just where to install said widget as I wait for my first Mac whilst viewing this thread from my PC.

Can't be long now: 2.4 matte w/7200 drive ordered circa 8:00 p.m. on 6/5/04 - PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT as of this morning.

How long does PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT last? Anyone know?

When did you get charged on your credit card? I'm interresting to know the time between when my credit card will be charged and the Prepared for shipment status?!?

oh well. it was worth a shot at making sense out of this madness.

And for the record, mine was the default regular shipping.
 
my 2.4 matte 7200 is prepared for shipping. ordered noon on 6/11, original ship-by date 7/24. the pending charge on my card appeared on sunday i think, and is still pending. i live in stanford, CA (about 13 miles from apple).
 
My 2.4GHz with 7200rpm hard drive & matte screen has been showing "prepared for shipment" since this morning, but no further news. I ordered it on Jun 5 afternoon:

Matte, 2.4Ghz, 7200rpm. Dutch store... Ordered on the 6th of june, paid on the 19th of june...
