I don't think they actually change.

When I bought my PowerBook 3 years ago it took a week from when it shipped to arrive at my door.

lol, i dont yet have a mac to run that widget on to tell me when my mac is going to arrive. chicken egg situation. does that happen to be a windows widget that does the same thing?

Ordered my MBP on June 15th, estimated ship was for August 2nd!!! Shipped today and estimated arrival time is Monday. God I am happy :) :D :apple:

Ordered on June 7, $2499 model + 7200rpm drive upgrade.

Original shipping date: July 20, delivery date: July 25

Changed today: shipping date June 27, delivery date: July 2

Shipping straight from Shanghai with the extra $18 expedited shipping option when I ordered originally.

YAY!!!!!!!
 
Yay! Mine finally shipped! And interestingly enough, I chose standard 5 - 6 day shipping, yet Fed Ex says it shipped this morning and will be delivered by 10:30 on Friday morning, which seems like they upgraded me to 2 day shipping, without me having to ask! :) :) :)

Mine has shipped, didn't give a delivery date though. I'd expect it to 6 days after it shipped. Initially it July 18 and delivery on July 24.
 
if you track the package, it should show you a delivery estimate.

estimated delivery by 6/29... i wonder if they upgraded the shipping as some sort of compensation for the long wait?
 
look like our MBP's are all on the same plane from China. i hope they locked that cargo hold well... i'd hate to have another delay because all our MBP's fell into the ocean.
 
still waiting at "not yet shipped", im guessing it will be another full week before its shipped based on other peoples order dates and delivery dates.

I didn't pay for 2 day. They must have just upgraded. I didn't even call Apple once.

Mine too says June 29th on the fedex tracker, however, the e-mail I got from Apple saying it ships says delivery by July 2.
 
Oh wow, mine too. Estimated delivery Jun 29, 2007 by 10:30 AM, despite Apple's email of July 2nd.
Perhaps Apple is just covering their bases?

I don't think I've ever had FedEx miss a date unless there was some kind horrendous calamity in the path of the shipment (Super storm, massive winter weather, etc).

I'm quite pleased by this really, if they make it. Means I have the weekend to play with it and won't be tempted to skip work on Monday/Tuesday :D
 
If it shipped from the states, I wouldn't have my doubts. 2 days to get from China though...
 
I have been following this thread, and as the 7200 rpm MBPs begin to arrive, could perhaps you all...

start a new long-running thread?

This would let interested people follow your reports of joy / horror / etc in the 15" 7200 rpm MBP world, without mixing it up with the people still waiting for theirs.
