I'm having this weird problem with DeX and Office. I looked around online and it seems there are a few others with the same issues but no solutions as of yet.

Basically, if I use Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or the all-in-one Office Mobile app in DeX ir crashes within seconds, but the apps work fine on the phone. I'm not sure why that's the case, and I know they used to work fine before.

I've tried clearing cache and data, and reinstalling, but all to no avail. OneNote and Outlook work perfectly fine though. Has anyone else had/have these problems?

Has anyone bought a case from UAG before?

I have just ordered their plasma case but just found out they are shipped from Hong Kong when ordering from the UK and it can take ages to come....

Auto-Restart Feature:

The phones Auto-Restart feature defaults to restarting once a week and is scheduled for 3AM. You can obviously change this to any idle hour and as many days of the week as you wish or turn it off completely.

I am curious if anyone sets theirs to Auto-Restart more than 1x a week? Would Auto-Restart prevent someone from reaching you in am emergency if they tried to call prior to you completing the reboot with your PIN in the morning?

Thanks!

First real camera test in Melbourne cloudy day..

I have mine set to auto restart just before bed time, that way I'm already logged in with my PIN,and the phone is in standby while I'm asleep. I also have auto optimization at everyday at the end on the work day. So far, everything is running quick and smooth.

BTW, I originally had my restarts happen at 3am everyday, but the alarms tones I set never got loaded, because I hadn't entered a PIN yet. So when my alarm went off on the morning the alarm tone was the default tone.

Yeah. Before bed might make more sense. I understand what Samsung was going for with the restarts taking place during down time while sleeping, but it does seem it present a couple of issues until you fully log in.

I played with a Note 10 today but was surprised by the slight lag/stutter compared with cheaper Android phones?
Although it will get Android 10, I am worried that the gestures won’t be as fluid as they are on Pixels.

Samsung hardware is the best and I loved the Gold S6 Edge Plus when I owned one. The note would suit me as I use Instagram a lot and enjoy photography. It’s just that speed is difficult not to miss ones you have had it for a while.

How fast or fluid does your Note 10 feel compared with other phones are you also using?

The phone is still new but it seems just as snappy and fluid as my xs max is. I have no lag at the moment.

For me the Note 10+ has been the fastest most responsive phone i have used to date. there is no lag or hesitation at all. Apps load faster than any phone I have used to date.
the 12 GB of ram means this phone never seems to reload or refresh apps....
That means app just load almost instantaneously.

My ONLY ding on the Note 10+ is the curved display. Really wish it came with a flat display.

Just a heads up, the blinking white pixel next to your camera is not a defect, it's the proximity sensor. For the most part, it happens when your on a call. That's when the proximity sensor is mostly active to detect your face. Had a buddy panic about his new Note 10+. lol.

I’m damn tired of people complaining about the headphone jack in general or refusing to buy a phone because of no headphone jack. Just buy a dongle if you’re that upset.
Exactly. To me, it's a thing of the past and there are so many good options for wireless now.

Does anyone know how to fix the problem where your playstare app updates are not appearing as on the home screen play store badges?
I have to go manually into the play store and check if the apps need updating as the badges do not appear..

The minute the headphone Jack came up, I stopped the video. Lol

I find Linus terribly annoying and can’t watch an entire video of his—he’s just perpetually whining about everything.

And I can appreciate someone’s preference for a headphone jack but its near extinction on smartphones is a done deal, so bitching and moaning about something that will soon be ancient history is just tiresome—get over it already. If someone refuses to buy a device specifically because of its omission, you’re going to be likely compromising any number of any other areas of the phone. You want to die on that hill, so to speak, go ahead. Just spare the rest of us because most of the rest of the buying public got over it a while ago.
