Picking up some samsung buds tomorrow. I haven't even bothered unboxing the wired headphones that came with the phone. The headphone Jack was no loss to me as I hate being attached to the phone

Me too. I actually hate corded headphones. The cord always seems to be exactly where I don't want it to be, getting snagged on something. I end up feeding it up through my shirt or zipping it inside a jacket. Good riddance to corded headphones :)

I got the buds as a pre-order bonus, and I use them daily. Very light and very comfortable, and best of all, they don't stick so blatantly out of your ear. If you have used the airpods and enjoyed them, consumer reports believe the galaxy buds best the airpods for sound quality. Consumer reports also gave the buds one of the highest ratings for a wireless earbud.

I do also have the Airbuds and Galaxy Buds and find the sound quality of the Galaxy Buds much better than the Airbuds. Whether or not that is down to the fact that you can customize the fit of the Galaxy Buds with the extra tips or fins, the Dolby Atmos built into the Galaxy Note 10, just better fidelity or a combination of the 3 I am not sure, but they do sound *much* better in my own uses.

I also have had issues with the Airbuds signal dropping out frequently while listening, both on the iPhone and Galaxy. I am not sure if my Airbuds are faulty or if it's a weak bluetooth in the Airbuds.

No jack should be a good thing. I workout at the gym.hate having to attach the phone on me while lifting.

Better enjoy it while you can because as previously mentioned, Google is going to be dropping it fully for YouTube Music. That’s when I’ll be changing my music subscription.

Sometimes the quality of the music is much better than youtube and YT music app that google play.

When people say it's not worth it to upgrade from note 9 or iphone xs to the newer phones, the ultra wide camera might change some minds.

Very nice pic, and I agree about upgrading. To take even a step further, people don't even need any particular reason to upgrade. I never understood the, "it's an incremental update" argument for not upgrading. A person could just want the latest and greatest, and that's good enough. Some of these Youtubers let their egos get too big, and start thinking their opinion is the last word. As if most of the veiwers are waiting on their word to decide on buying.

I think they need to have something to say otherwise the video just becomes a run down of the specs. However some of them are far too opinionated, like front page tech.

Has anyone tried to the Whitestone Dome protector? I still have the preinstalled plastic protector that came with the phone on, but it offers little protection against drops/
The Whitestone protector is very expensive so I wanted opinions before purchasing.

Interested in this as it made a mess of the fingerprint scanner on the s10 I had. Install was perfect and they changed instructions so you push down on the sensor area before the glue is fully cured but it was still very hit and miss

All YouTube reviewers say it's fine but if whitestone are paying for the review, reliability is heavily compromised

What protector are you using now?

Not only Youtubers, lots of people just love whining about "incremental updates" and using it to bash phones they don't like... Like in this neighbour thread :p https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/why-you-should-get-an-android-phone.2195659/#post-27670925

Factory installed one. I've ordered phantomskinz from the states as they claim the s pen doesn't leave marks on it but we shall see
Yes I am worried because the factory ones do not protect against drops
I have never cracked my iPhone screens before but that is probably because I have always installed a glass screen protector which has done the job.

It is annoying how the note has to have a specific protector because of the fingerprint scanner.

Seriously loving this phone a lot more than previous samsung devices I've owned. The stability and performance is fantastic.

The only minor annoyance I have is that the video lockscreen wallpapers occasional freeze and are static when I wake the phone up. Like the stock video one or other video lockscreen wallpapers I download from the Galaxy Themes app. This happen to anyone else?

Haven't had this happen to me yet, but I use my own videos for video wallpaper. The quality looks so much better. I always record video in landscape, but when I'm recording a video specifically for my lockscreen, I record in portrait.

Yeah I'm not exactly sure what the deal is with them freezing. Not a huge deal though. Maybe a software update will fix it.

I am considering returning the note 10

I get strong vibration/crackling from. he back of the phone when listening to youtube videos or music on speaker.

I am not sure if it's a faulty handset or it's a samsung problem but it's really annoying especially for a phone soo expensive. I never had this problem with my XS Max at all.
