Interested in this as it made a mess of the fingerprint scanner on the s10 I had. Install was perfect and they changed instructions so you push down on the sensor area before the glue is fully cured but it was still very hit and miss

All YouTube reviewers say it's fine but if whitestone are paying for the review, reliability is heavily compromised
Did the YouTubers all do the install themselves? Or where the installs done by Whitestone? Because likewise I have seen some hit or miss reports on these.

Yes I am worried because the factory ones do not protect against drops
I have never cracked my iPhone screens before but that is probably because I have always installed a glass screen protector which has done the job.

I have had internal debates with myself about the use of glass screen protectors. I have had a couple of them crack over the years, some for no particular reason (looking at you Griffin). I have also wondered if a couple have cracked due to the extra thickness they add to the screen causing them to be even with the built up edges of the protective cases such as the Otterbox. In short would the screen have cracked without the protector or did the protector crack due to the extra thickness causing it to not be able to avoid impact.

I am considering returning the note 10

I get strong vibration/crackling from. he back of the phone when listening to youtube videos or music on speaker.

I am not sure if it's a faulty handset or it's a samsung problem but it's really annoying especially for a phone soo expensive. I never had this problem with my XS Max at all.
Thats the top speaker that bounces sound down towards the back then up to the grill, its more pronounced depending on case and if holding the phone

Seriously loving this phone a lot more than previous samsung devices I've owned. The stability and performance is fantastic.

The only minor annoyance I have is that the video lockscreen wallpapers occasional freeze and are static when I wake the phone up. Like the stock video one or other video lockscreen wallpapers I download from the Galaxy Themes app. This happen to anyone else?

Happens to me too, but I use my own videos. Do you use the stock lock screen or Good Lock?

If only Spotify would let you store local files. And yes I know they kind of do but not how I want.
I enjoy Spotify and have been using that for several years now, but I was wondering if anyone has tried Tidal. I keep getting free trial promos for it, but have yet to try it. I was wondering what others experiences have been with Tidal. Deezer also for that matter.

I am really really wanting to love this phone and keep it but there a few annoyances that I just cannot figure out on my own. Hopefully some a you can help me with these.

1. Is there a solution to play music from the lock screen using OK Google without having to unlock your phone .

2. Apparently Verizon does not support visual voicemail on unlocked versions, does anyone have a solution for visual voicemail that will work?

3. Does any one else have issues getting notifications from words with friends when it is their turn to play?

I’m with the red one. The visual vm works great on my Note 10+. I simply took out the sim from my previous device and off I went. No need to involve big red. I always get unlocked phones. As far as playing music, I have accounts with SiriusXM and Pandora, both play well from the locked screen - not only outputting to the speakers but also from bt to other systems. Perhaps it’s something in your settings. Sorry I’m not more help. Perhaps if you tell me more about your settings I can offer greater insight.

On another note, having 12gb ram is just awesome. When sending a photo via Hangouts, for example, it happens in a matter of seconds. No long processing times. Having the unlocked version helps with core speed -my phone always shows LTE+ now - no more 4g lte. It really makes a substantial difference in how quickly I can access web sites, etc. It also shows its true colors well when using secure VPN networks for conference calls to my patients. Just crystal clear imaging and the sound from the Atmos circuitry is perfect. And no lag, no aliasing, etc. On days when I’m in the laboratory, the Dex platform has been a timesaver. I can respond to patient questions, send/receive email, and teleconference all at the same time. It’s less distracting too, having fewer devices. It took many devices previously to do everything I do now with just a computer and Note 10+.

Picking up some samsung buds tomorrow. I haven't even bothered unboxing the wired headphones that came with the phone. The headphone Jack was no loss to me as I hate being attached to the phone
So far so good. The buds seem pretty decent, look much less obvious than the airpods I bought and sold 2 days later, and are comfortable in my ears with no fear of them falling out thus far

Yeah the phone vibrates a lot when you have the volume out of the speakers, this is mentioned in quite a few reviews.

It's not too bothersome for me, but it is a slight annoyance as my Note 8 didn't do it so obviously!

Same thing happens a lot on my iPad Pro.

The phone is much faster than my previous iPhone XS Max
Apps load quicker and everything just feels snappier

Android always feels snappier than iOS.
iOS tries hard to make the UX as smooth as possible, which can make things appear to load slower.

Yep

What I miss from IOS is iCloud. It literally saves your phone exactly how you lett it. Android/Samsung is noway as good as when I reinstalled my S10+ all my phone settings and app settings were lost/

Really I was surprised as it gets better each year of course account passwords were not transferred but many settings were and even paired BT devices which was great with my wife's Phone from her S8 to my old S10+ as she was using my free buds

It use to be a pain given so many customisation's and placement and grouping of app icons etc

Sure if your using non native app launchers etc more so and some newer features supersede previous ones like themes

There is no gain without pain and you want every Android device to look the same like IOS just so transfers of devices becomes easier etc then it would be a major loss IMO
