I have been underwhelmed with the implementation of widgets in IOS 14 beta as well. I mean it is a step in the right direction. But still I can't resize them and place them where and how I can on Android phones. Android has a had years to evolved widgets and Apple is just starting out with them.
Then as
@Shanghaichica said in another post....when in public I have to wear a mask. FaceID and Apple Pay won't work.
Having a phone with a fingerprint reader might be nice.
Yes, that is another thing. Doing my grocery shopping has been a complete pain in the ass lately because every time I pull up my list, I have to enter in my passcode. Not Apple's fault of course. They didn't know a Pandemic was coming, but it is a concern.
I only tried the iOS 14 beta briefly, wasn’t taken with it.
Am I reading it correct, you can’t classify or set apps in the library how you choose?
That's correct. I have a couple other oddities as well. And the suggested apps are pretty smart, but this whole App Library integration has actually made me want an app drawer that's alphabetical without endless scrolling!
That's an odd issue that it won't allow you the option to move apps where you want. Like you, my first instinct would be to want to place Reddit under social. That would kind of irk me that I can't classify apps to where I think they should be placed for my own use and organization.
Yeah, and it is Beta so you never know if it would get fixed, but the biggest issue I have is that ok, I can swipe left to go to the App Library, then swipe down to get the alphabetical list, then use the scroll bar to get to the correct letter, then click on the app. So that's 4 screen touches, one of them involving scrolling. On an Android, whether it's a Galaxy or Pixel, you have one swipe to get to the app drawer and then maybe you have to swipe once depending on how many pages you have, and then click the app.
One of the selling points for iPhones for me has always been that there are less screen touches to get to where you want to go, but it's not really the case anymore.
